stand up for three hours non stop barely moving without pain? Sports day today for children. Standing for hours and hours in rain and drizzle and hip started to really ache (operated hip) really surprised and disappointed, but maybe my expectations are too high or it was coming from my back..

Left hip yet to be replaced was screaming in competition, in combination could barely watch what was going on...and can barely walk now....feeling so sad...am 42 and feel 102....

Hi Rose, I think that standing still for ages is really hard on your hip. Before I had my op, I found that really painful, and post op, I think it's still an issue. Hope you are feeling a bit better today. Take it easy.

It hurt terribly before standing, but didn't really expect it to hurt quite so much so long after a replacement if I am honest.

I was a bit embarrassed actually, as it was so sore people started asking me if I had properly recovered, was there something wrong with my hip..etc...I really didn't want to discuss it. It was a long day! And I came home trying not to cry about both hips....It is better with rest, thank you so much for your reply Judith. I hope you are keeping well and enjoying your new hip?

Hi Rose, I'm doing ok thanks, nearly a year since my right hip was replaced. It all feels pretty normal, but just occasionally it reminds me that it's there!

Sorry about your disappointing sports day, with all that pain. Hope you're feeling a bit better again today, and sleeping better. Do you have a date for your next hip?
