Hi Jason, any bleeding needs to be investigated. Have you a been to yr GP? Your GP can refer you to hospital for investigation. I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis 8 yrs ago by a Cons Gastroenterologist who did a flexible sigmoidoscopy which confirmed UC. My symptom was bleeding from anus. You may not have UC but the sooner you are seen by a specialist the sooner you can start treatment.

    Good luck.

Hi Jason, have you been to the doctors to see aboit your bleeding?

I am 29 year old female & I started getting bleeding last September. I had blood tests done a flexible sigmoidoscopy & most recently the colonoscopy which diagnosed Ulcerative Colitis. I also get blood in my stools and mucus. I get pains in my stomach too but ive had every test done and that's what it is xx

Every single time im at the toilet theres blood from my back passage. Every time! Sometimes it can be clots of blood

I need to get my inflammatory levels n iron checked all the time

I don't get numb arms or snything but that could be a side effect of your meds xx

Hi Milli I too bleed (with clots too) every time I go to loo. Thought I'd be anaemic but my bloods are fine and my Gastro Cons didn't seem worried. He said it's inflammation. Been bleeding for 2 yrs tho worse now hoping it'll stop soon as getting fed up. My hands are like sandpaper from washing so much!

That's since last September ive bled and it's always getting worse

The only time it was better was when I was on mezaline suppositries but then I was constipated!! The joys!!!!

I'm on mezavant xl 1200 2in morning and 2 at night

They are helping inflammation but not with the bleeding

Everyone who has this have completely different symptoms.. I think that's why it's so hard to prescribe!!

      Hope your well
