Carpal tunnel surgery anaesthetic injection

Hi all

I am having carpal tunnel release surgery soon and have a huge needle phobia.

I know it sounds ridiculous given the surgery (which I'm not remotely bothered by) given that I have suffered for years with limited sleep and pain.

Please tell me if that injection hurts? I have watched lots of videos to prepare myself 🙈

Well I had surgery which went well. 3 days later and im going back due to them making a complete mess of my wound and the stitching 🙈

Why what's happened? They only put 3 stitches in mine and I was worried it looked open but it was fine.

The wound looked shocking so I went back. They reakon it's fine but have brought my consultant app forward to next week instead of 6 weeks

The injection does sting a bit, but it is soon over and then you feel absolutely nothing. It is not unbearable by any means. I am a week in since mine and already I am pleased I had it done. No more pins and needles good luck
