CBD oil

Hi

I'm 52 I've had polymyalgia for 2 years  treated with prednisone

I'm currently down to a low dose 4mg

Has anyone tried Daily CBD oil to treat the inflammation  polymyalgia ?

I'm having difficulty reducing lower than 4 mg, wondering if I should try CBD

Seems to be the new thing

    Hello Pam

Did you try the CBD Oil? If so did it help with the inflammation and pain from polymialgia?

Did you put in weight with the Prednisone?

I'm the same Pam, Started 2 years ago maybe a little more, went through all sorts of test for various things and nothing shows up, doc said to try steroids and if they work then I have polymyalgia, they worked straight away thank god. Anyway we had bought CBD oil for my father inlaw as he had liver cancer, sadly he passed away, not due to the cancer so we can't even say if that was working for him.. a year after he passed away we both started taking the CBD oil but it had no effect on my polymyalgia, I don't know if it was because it was the wrong type maybe? I am going to try again though, because like yourself I've managed to get down from 15mg steroids to 4mg but can't seem to get any lower

Could just be that 4 mg is what you need to control PMR? I don't think CBD is any more a cure than pred. But it would be interesting, if expensive, to find out if a regular dose of CBD helps lower pred slightly.
