CFCs and dating

Hi fellow sufferers of CFS/ME

I suffer from CFS which as you all know is very exhausting, frustrating and isolating, particularly for those of us who aren't married or in a relationship. I get really lonely when I have days stuck at home with no one to talk to because I have no energy to go out. I'm feeling very down at the moment as a result. I'd love to share my life with someone as I have a lot of love to give and lots of interests. I don't feel that a 'normal' dating sure would work for us because of our limitations but if we could meet a fellow sufferer, we could both help and support each other. What do people think?

This has got me thinking about whether there might be an on line dating a website for people with CFS/ME ? Does anyone know of one? Maybe we could start one?!

be interested to hear what you all think on this matter.

Mary

Emis moderator I need to ask why I sometimes mention herbs in this group and my comments are posted instantly but at other times I mention them and they have to await moderation?

I've been told by a mod that as long as I'm not mentioning a product it's ok to mention herbs in groups other than the complementary medicine one.

It's so hit and miss what we can and can't say!

That's not from frustrating experience I hope?  You can always raid the tv remote for batteries (remember Gavin and Stacey).

So do you find herbs (that you are not allowed to mention ) help?

Do you mean that I should use the remote to turn the moderators off? Shock, horror, what a suggestion! eek cheesygrin

Yes I couldn't have made it this far without herbs. I studied them because I realised that they're the only things, along with nutritous foods that could keep me going.

Yes I missed your point but it's late and I'm trying to finish an assignment up. Anyway thanks for the remote idea.

Imagine if we could mute politicians with our remotes?cool

Thought l,d just have a quick look in before bedtime, glad l did, lol at physio,s post, First part sounds like me, cant afford cleaner, gardener, handyman builder, and my house also going to wrack and ruin, feel like l am some days also, but have rallying days, and lve gone places on my own on those times,  not ideal, but better than sitting in depressed, and you do often get people to talk with, as long as their not drunk, still an experience.   Some travel the world on their own, love to be fit enough to do that, and admire those who go for it.

My journeys have got shorter, travelling is very tiring, Again the supermen on dating sites not only hike up mountains, they zoom round the world as much as micheal palin. As for torchy the battery boy, lol, Georgia good job you explained your sensored post was about herbs

redface .  Well Mary youve give everyone a good laugh and lifted spirits, hope it continues and you feel better for it. A website a good start, Goodnight

Lynne the word sex had been mentioned and the lack of labido that us ME sufferers have. I mentioned a herb that is antidepressant and gives energy all over and in that way. That's all! rolleyes

must say when i started on the Q10 & NADH (converted B3) my libido went riot. it was the NADH. apparently if ur depleted and and start to supplement it does that.

Hi ladies, Glad you are enjoying yourselves.  it would be good to switch some people/politicians/madical professionals/partners off, at least for a time!  I was referring to the Gavin and Stacey episode where Ness wants the batteries from the remote for her battery powered friend.  In the following scene, with dead pan face, she walks into the kitchen, says she didn't need them and runs her index and middle fingers under the tap.  It was hysterical!!

Ive fallen fowl of the moderator on another discussion, it seems some people are not allowed to be named...   anyway does that herb rhyme with cohort?  I think I'll look into that sort of thing.

I've been thinking, I used to be young, blonde, slim and beautiful.  Now i'm old(er), grey(with a bit of dye), plump(fabulous word don't you think?), fading and covered in cobwebs.  Perhaps I should have called myself Miss Haversham...

I take Q10 but I've never heard of NADH, although I get vit B complex and thiamine from the doc. I'm going to mention that herb again because I'm getting tingly feelings back all over and my moods are getting better, Damiana.

l assumed it was just about herbal info as you,d stated later,, but just a joked about it due to it being censored, thats all l meanteek, as l know they can censor over something and nothing at times, been there myself.

Yes I've twice mentioned lymph glands in a post and it's awaiting moderation! Wonder if this one will get through as I've just mentioned them again! 😳

Hi  yeh l got censored, not a clue what for,  Hope your well today, l had a good day yesterday, achieved things, pleased with myself, today near zombie like state, its like one goodish day and 2 recovering from it. Also just spoke to my son, he,s l50 mile away in norfolk, and he,s feeling bad, diabetes problems, constant nausea with meds, been there as well,  he,s 35yrs, but makes no difference to the worry, So its try this, that, do this that, We have a laugh about it, blind leading the blind, just a bad day and tomorrows another one.  Well youve got past 80posts, will try to keep it going for more to post, maybe weekdays, more the better.  Well going to watch bgt final, all l,m fit for today, and l,m rooting for the dog.

Theyre letting you off with `lymph glands`  Maybe its the gland part, what next, Glad your getting many varying responses,

I just sent you a long reply but I think it has gone for censoring as I mentioned the name of one the acts on BGT! So I won't mention the name again. I'll just say I like the two male singers! And I like the border collie. I can't write everything else again but hopefully it will be allowed through once it's been moderated tomorrow!

Perhaps their censorship system has got ME and gets confused! confused
    • Posted

Yes Lynne, I just don't understand why the same thing is censored sometimes and not other times; one weird system! frown
    • Posted

That's one of the most confusing replies I've ever had! eek What's WSOH?

Glad to be a tonic though. cool

I was crying at the dog act. Absolutely brilliant. Amazing dogs! It was such a beautiful story 😂. I can't call the winner though!

Yeh, some good performances, shame the lad lost it at start of the song, still a really good performance singer.  See what replies tomorrow brings, thats a really nice pic of you, your younger than l thought, l being older, say no more about age, but easy to forget how people from an early age can suffer chronic health probs. Anyway bedtime once again, its odd not knowing how bad or ok youll wake up feeling, voyage of discovery, but its forecast for warmer weather later in week, summer at last maybe. Glad youve got posative responses, may it grow.

Thanks for the compliment Lynne. The photo was taken a year ago so I guess I should get a new one done for the dating site! I'm 58 though feel older than that most of the time! I know what you mean about not knowing how you'll feel each day. Saturday night I had the best night's sleep in ages but last night it was awful and I felt rough. Day at a time eh and no expectations eh! Yes a heatwave is on the way, yippee 😀

Ah cool! I'm a manky scouse by origin, Mancunian mum and Liverpudlian dad so if I didn't keep the family tradition up of making people laugh I'd be hung, drawn and quartered! Then laughed at, which would hurt more. cheesygrin
