Chest pains

Sorry to post this in here but i'm dying for answers, its driving me crazy. Basically about 2 years ago I was diagnosed with anxiety after weeks of chest pains and dizziness, i had 2 ECG's one at A&E and one at my doctors which both came back normal and then i had a stress ECG, which also came back normal. The chest pains and dizziness have come and gone now and again since 2 years ago but for the past 2 months i've had a bad patch of it, every day basically cant seem to shake this one off and now it seems to get me when im excercising as well, like going for a jog or on the bikes are the gym. So i went back to the doctors again last week and had another ECG done which came back fine, then went on a health test where I had an ECG done and a stress ECG done, both came back fine again but during the stress ECG i didnt have any chest pain, so maybe the ECG wouldnt of caught anything if i didnt get my usual symptoms?

I'm worried sick i've got something wrong with my heart, i want to start going to the gym again but i'm too worried about it. Do I go back to the doctors and ask for more tests or is an ECG & stress ECG sufficient enough to put my mind at rest? I've now had 4-5 ecg'S over the past 2 years and two stress ECG, but i just can't get over it.

Hello, i am 25 years old and I’m having the same problem! Just went to the ER and they did a chest x ray and blood work. And it all came back good. Nothing wrong with my chest. But recommended me to go to the cardiologist. So I’m gonna go and see what is going on! It could defiantly be anxiety. I don’t have chest pains. Just my heart feels like it’s racing. Everything else looks fine with me. I’m healthy as a lark. My heart rate was just going from 99 too 105. I went to urgent care first they diagnosed me with sinus tachycardia! Whatever that is.

I have had angina and anxiety related chest pain for years that seems to be relieved with nitroglycerine, but over the past few years things have changed...   I had a 50% blockage show up on a heart cath about 11 years ago that still sitting in there worsening, and tests have reveal mitral valve regurgitation.   My issue was with or without any exertion I'd have crushing chest pain, shortness or breath, (which seemed to appear together) the chest pain was different than the usual angina type pain, and would Not be relieved by my nitro., the chest pain I experience during this time often extends into my left arm and the left side of my face resulting in numbness in those areas, as well.  All my cardiac tests are coming back relatively "normal" so the cardiologist had me have a Pulmonary Function Test done that to my surprise revealed COPD.  When I went to see a Pulmonologist he said I without a doubt have COPD but believes I have Asthma as well, so he ordered a Methacholine Challenge Test to verify this and it too came back positive for Asthma.  I've now been started on both a long acting steroid inhaler, and a rescue inhaler and they seem to have helped my shortness of breath which has in turn appeared to help eliminate most of my chest pain too.  I think if your cardiac tests are coming back "normal" and anxiety medication is not helping eliminate your symptoms it might be wise to look into possible respiratory aspects that could be causing your chest pain, as well?  Good Luck!!!

Hello All, I'm not sure how many of you are still following this post, but wanted to mention what I've recently discovered regarding symptoms similar to what you all are having.

I have a lot of medical issues, and have experienced for several years now: chest pain -generally left side, shortness of breath-(my chest pain and sob both seemed to occur at the same time or within minutes of the other symptom starting), dizziness, numbness of my left arm and the left side of my face, ringing in my ears, and pain between my shoulder blades both with and without exertion.  I have diagnoses of anxiety, GERD, IBS,hiatal hernia, have a slight blockage in my coronary artery, and slight blockages in my carotid arteries.

All the Cardiac testing, which has been every test imaginable, repeated multiple times throughout the years, have all came back basically normal.  I've been told a dozen times that it's not a problem with my heart causing the chest pain, etc., or the tests would have shown it.  My chest pain and other symptoms have been blamed on my hiatal hernia, GERD, IBS, gall bladder-which was removed, anxiety, etc. (All of which can cause these symptoms), at one time or another throughout the years that I've been having the problem, but I always found it odd that the treatment of these conditions never eliminated my chest pain, etc. symptoms. Recently my Cardiologist, after yet another ER visit, and then a trip to his office for follow up decided to do a Pulmonary Function Test on me (my 1st ever), which to my surprise came back positive for COPD. My GP put me on a rescue Inhaler for my COPD, referred me to a Pulmonologist who said, It appeared that I've had untreated COPD for many years, and that he thinks by my symptoms that I also have untreated asthma, as well.  So more testing was ordered to verify whether I did or did not also have asthma along with the COPD, and those results were also positive. The Pulmonologist started me on another long acting 1 time per day steroid inhaler-at 1st the side effects made me question whether I was going to be able to use it or not, but now that my body has adjusted to it more I'm tolerating it better.

The COPD was diagnosed about a month ago, and the asthma diagnose has been about 2 weeks now.  Guess what?   I'm no longer having the daily chest pain symptoms (I do get some chest pain and tightness in my chest if something triggers my shortness of breath but otherwise it's better), the numbness in my left arm or the left side of my face is gone, the pain between my shoulder blades, the dizziness, the ringing in my ears, are gone. The shortness of breath-is better with the inhalers, but it is still present and probably will be the rest of my life.  I don't know if my symptoms were in fact Pulmonary related, or if the steroids in the inhaler has helped, but I can say this is the 1st time in a very long time that I've not had constant daily chest pain.

Don't get me wrong I still don't feel well, actually I feel horrible most days, but that is due to all my other many medical issues. When you're as ill as I have been for years now, getting rid of even 1 unwanted symptom is a true blessing.

I don't know if my case will help any of you, but since you're all hitting the same brick wall that I was hitting for years and having the same/similar symptoms, plus getting no answers to what the heck is wrong, having this checked, as well as the other things I mentioned above that might cause it might be a good place to go from where you are now?  Good Luck!!

    IVE BEEN SUFFERING FROM

ANXIETY AND HEART PALPITATIONS. AND NOW (chest pain) RECENTLY AND I NEVER BEEN SCARED IN MY LIFE LIKE NOW I HAD A ECHOCHARDIOGRAM DONE 3 years ago and eveything was normal.but i recently went to the doctors maybe four hospitals to be exact and onky one hospital told me to go to a cardioligist. out of the 4 hospitals one told me i might have congestion heart failure. and i was destroyed because i dont do anything bad no smoking drugs drinking etc. im 30 yo now and dont have any kids. but i decided to do just that and i went to my cardiologist which he told me i was fine he doesnt hear anything abnormal but because i was so anxious about it her told me he will order me a heart ultrasound. so long story short i went and i was diagnosed with mild triscupid regrugation and i balled out crying i started saying my life is over. then my doctor just told me that is a normal finding on a normal heart result. but i am not dumb the regrugation can get worse from time. so ive been looking for a second opinion now. ive done some searching to talk to a valve specialist to see what can be done. ive been on a diet recently i put myself i cut back oil foods fatty foods eat more healthy etc if anyone got the same condition as me please hit me back so we can chat have a great day god bless everyone
