    Hola Cleora,

I totally feel for you and understand the misery, frustration and depression that often follows after a long period of suffering...

A lot of things can cause nausea especially in a female. Could you provide more information?

I have been on various different medications to treat anxiety. I wake up and as soon as eyes are open I have to empty my bowels and the nausea lasts all day

      HI Cleora ,

Have you been tested for h pylori? If not you can ask your gp to test you. This can sometimes cause nausea? Do you have any belching? It could also be acid reflux? You would likely have other symptoms with this but. It could be. Don't forget that it can also be anxiety causing it. Don't stress about it to much lots of people with anxiety experience this. Take care

      Hola Cleora,

Some anti anxiety medications can cause nausea as well as dependence. I am NOT a doctor but, your body could be absorbing medicine faster or slower at times. weight loss and nausea could be a sign of diabetes also so my suggestion would be to seek a second opinion and consider seeing a GI specialist also. Sometimes, a test must be performed several times or read by several doctors to make a proper diagnosis. You are in my prayers my friend.

Hi, l,m another one with long standing nausea, started october, daily from waking to bedtime, appetite went and lived off tea and biscuits, tired and fed up with it, lost near a stone,  mine worse with exertion, that making it disabling, meaning l0minutes jobs and then having to sit for half hour till settles a bit.  l got referral for scope in march where a bit of inflammation was found, put on omprazole, made little difference but has settled a bit, still to eat small plain meal in evening, fish chicken broccoli, yogurt, Next for me a cystascope see if its related to intersticial cystitus. Suprising how many come on mbs with simular. Often gps go down the phycalogical route, and it can cause or aggrevate physical, but think you need to see gastroenterologist to at least look for cause. Good luck.

Hi Issy, Not too bad, it did settle a little for a couple of weeks, today bit off  it, just tried to do some hedge clipping, managed l5min and nauseous, l do have cystascope next week, as lve intersticial cystitus, and used to have short lived bouts of nausea when that was bad, but only a day or so, not prolonged, and urologist doesnt think its causing nausea, l,ll see soon enough, after that at a loss, its so odd and so many with symptoms and tests show all clear, no cause, never had this with stress in the past, but who knows.  lssy. l got very low last week, slightly better this week, l  too get fed up and confused with pills, think the gp is as well, l spoke to him yesterday, as we now have a system at surgery where on asking for appt, the duty gp rings you and decides if you should come in or pick up script, charming, said l,d try omprazole again for a couple of weeks, as not sure if they helped or not, but received anti bs instead, so still battling symptoms and system, with small plain meals helps,  but.still restricted and frustrated with it, not as bad as last week.

Issy dont let yourself  get too low with it, let us know if the med helps take care

Our GP has the same system ! I also have had lots of stress in my life but it has never affected me like this , trouble is as you say Lynne once GP decides it's anxiety what can you do ? Don't feel I can go back now cos I'm not taking the antidepressants ! Sympathy re the garden I like you have a lot of lower back pain and the garden is getting neglected along with the painting etc , I am trying not to dwell on it but waken up under a black cloud . I'm sure it will end for us one day Lynne just wish it could be soon 😐😐!

Hi, know what you mean, several week back l,d wake and know within minutes it was still with me, after months of it you get that fed up and feel down. Mine did settle a bit, at least not as severe, but dont know if its spontaneious or to do with taking omprazole for 2-3 wks, as it seemed to settle after l decided to stop them, maybe they had already helped and coincidence. But it had settled enough to be able to function better, and take the black cloud away, respite relief, but know its still there, Today just clipping hedge a bit brought it on, and yes my hedges are getting bigger, and other strenuous jobs not done, and l normally have a touch of ocd, just too bad, today unsettled it enough that l,d no appetite at tea time, tum bloated,  not even a plain meal, just had toast, l dont know whats going on with gps, guess theyre flooded with patients and struggling to give time, think its why a and e are more crowded, says in paper more parents taking sick kids there.  l think this new system where they ring you to decide if you should come into surgery or not, poor, surely they need to see and examine you, and today they sent me wrong meds.  Tomorrow is another day, live in hope, at least we know it can settle, or flare, its trying to find the triggers.  Think youve a dog also, as have l and cat, poor dog l throw balls for it for exercise when nausea bad, luckily lve a decent sized garden.  You should still be able to see gp, but know what you mean, l dont like going in, appt, tests, scans, scopes, overwhelming at times. But go in if you feel to be getting very low, l also think we,ll find cause and solution, just to battle on till then, hope you get a respite soon.

Hi, Strange, others same, had scopes and all come back clear also, l guess it could be stress, but lve had far worse stress in the past without it having th nausea affect, but guess we can change in how it affects. lve lost about 12lb, but was 2-3stone oweight before,, but l9ib quite a bit, have they tested for diabetes re weight loss, or if you know of any meds that can be affecting you, If you keep losing weight l,m sure theyll do more tests, or second opinion, best wishes.

I too have been through much tougher bouts of mental health without nausea. It started just after a bout of flu and antibiotics. I am being taken off all medication to see if it helps. Though if it is anxiety related it's just going to get worse

l know many conditions can be caused through  phycalogical reasons, stress depression, but know by my own experience having had pain and poor health put down to phycalogical for many years, finally diagnosed by scope as intersticial cystitus,  and many others whove had symptoms put down to phycalogical, and later found to be of a physical cause. Thinks its about dr,s as well as patients keeping an open mind, l did seem to improve a bit when stopping my meds, even the omprozole, but l know its not gone and still have little appetite, and weight loss,  but its not constant as it was for months, thankfully  Soon due for bladder scope for symptoms, l really hope coming off meds will help, l never did have much of a stomach for meds, only take when essential, let us know how you get along off meds, Good luck.

I agree Lynne I think it is a combination of physical and psychological but definitely to constantly feel sick and I'll has a very depressing effect . Hope you are now on your way to finding some answers , I have been slightly better over two days (Friday was awful ) very strange but if it's back bad tomorrow at least I have had a break !

I have been referred for another scope although been advised it could be IBS. So it's either meds, IBS or anxiety.
