Cialis as a treatment

I'm curious if anyone has any experience using Cialis as a treatment for BPH? Any "unpleasant" side effects?

My first and most noticeable symptom was heartburn. This is pretty tolerable, but I would not take this med daily, I started just taking when I knew I would be seeing my girlfriend. However, on weeks when I was going to see her multiple times or for most of the week and took it almost daily, it turned into hemorrhoids on two occasions within a four month period. I have never had hemorrhoids like this in the past. The swelling and inflammation was terrible and it took weeks to get rid of them, although there are some lingering after effects. I have lifted weights for 34 years, I have had to take prolonged breaks due to these issues and have had to limit the weight to keep from straining and causing flare ups. In my opinion, if you need this type of med, I would recommend Viagra instead as the affects of Viagra are limited to a few hours as opposed to 36 hours. I didn't see hemorrhoids listed as a side affect, but I can't help but believe that the vasodialating caused by the Cialis was a factor.

I took 5mg generic Cialis daily with Flomax for a while before my 2020/2021 TURPs. The one side effect I recall was that my ears were ringing a lot. Not sure if it was from the meds but the ringing is gone now.

Also developed tinnitus while taking 5 mg cialis most days, along with Bactrim. Subsequently, diagnosed with bilateral high frequency hearing loss. Impossible to know what caused it, but tinnitus started while taking the drug. Somewhat reduced after a month.

Flomax didn't seem to help my symptoms even after several months, so my urologist also prescribed Cialis (tadalafil), which has noticeably improved my urinary hesitancy and associated pain (probably pelvic floor pain, since I don't have prostatitis). I have noticed two side effects regarding prexisting conditions: it has made my tinnitus worse, and it seems at times to trigger my neuralgia (head pain). Tinnitus or "ringing in the ears" is a not uncommon complaint regarding Cialis. Sudden hearing loss has also been associated with it.

I used Cialis 2.5mg daily. The heartburn / reflux was absolutely terrible. I began to take it every other day and while it was SUPER helpful in the area of gaining and maintaining an erection, it did NOTHING for my BPH symptoms that I could tell.

Flowmax helped quite a bit at first, but began to fade after a couple of months.

I've taken generic Cialis for about a month and no definitive positive results. Still get up 2-5 times every night to urinate. Wildly variable. Disappointed!

I have been using generic Cialis for about a month. It has cut down my night time toilet visits from 5-6 to 2-3. It does nothing toward opening the urethra constriction. Still takes forever most times to get urination started, and urinary flow is still way below what it should be. Better than nothing.

I used 5 miligram cialis a couple of times for a few weeks. It seemed to help a little bit; about like taking large amounts of saw palmento. I thought I was getting some headaches from it, but unsure because I sometimes get those anyway from other things like caffeine withdrawal. But it was my experience that it didn't help much for the BPH. Not sure I gave it enough of a trial though. Sorry.
