i have posted many times over the last year regarding citalopram . I settled on 20mg for a while then anxiety came back , knotted stomach and lots of stomach pain . spoke to GP on phone and one doc recommended upping to 40mg . It was awful , Went back to G.P who upped me to 30mg . I've been taking it for 6 days , my legs are tingly and weak and my head has become foggy again , any advise would be appreciated , Thankyou xx

      Hi Gary

how long is it that you have been on them altogether now? Eg include all doses.

have you taken mirtazipin yet? I have taken two today to get through. This illness plays tricks with our mind whilst in the recovery stage. I get two days feeling fairly well followed by three days in bed with diazepam to hand!

Have you had any good days at all Gary? ♥

I seem to be feeling more down and anxious on day 7 of upped dose 20-30mg , day 7 today

Meant to say two diazepam not mirtazipine! I think mirtazipine is a great drug in terms of no side effects and you kind of instantly feel better! Don't give up Gary. ..take the mirtazipine. .It does make you sleepy for first day x

I was on 20mg for probably 4 months , finally kinda settled then anxiety came creeping back so g.p put me up to 30mg 6 days ago , I take it in morning and mirtazapine before bed , I feel worse than a few months ago x

      Hi Gary

I'm no doctor, but this sounds like an overload of drugs. Do you mind me asking are you suffering with another illness other than depression? I am now wondering if these various drugs are not interacting correctly, this could be the reason for the awful time you are having. When do you see your doctor next? It really doesn't seem right Gary. X

Yes Lorraine I have m.s , only been really suffering with it for a year but had it for 8 years xx

So sorry to hear that Gary. I hope your gp looks up possible interactions with the various drugs. This must be an extremely difficult time for you Gary.

Please let me know how you are tomorrow if your up to it.

      god bless xx

Feel like giving up Lorraine xx

just don't seem to be getting better , this is such a contrast to the short spell I had feeling nearly normal a month ago before my anxiety came back . So scared of this

      Hi Gary

I honestly feel your concoction / dosage of medication is not helping you correctly. Is there any chance you can get a call back from your doctor today? Have your list of medication written down.

In the meantime Gary try to push the feelings of giving up away and put on your 'not having hat' you deserve to feel well Gary. Please try doc today xxx

When I upped to 30 from 20 my side effects were the same as you. They can last for a few weeks but they do go away.
