Clothes I need in Hospital

Posted , 16 users are following.

Have had my pre-op, waiting for my admission date (in Wales that can be many months away) but anyway, any hints from ladies out there who have had the op, as to the best clothes to take  to hospital?     Sorry guys, close your eyes for a second, for instance knickers ??   I'm planning on wearing track pants but what about underwear and night clothes?    Any hints gratefully received.

Madeleine.

I went in unexpectedly after breaking my hip in an accident, so I took nothing. I was only in for a few days, and had my own room, so hospital gowns and commando underneath was just fine. The only things I'd have killed for were a bar of soap and some shampoo/conditioner. I had to use the handpump soap at the basin instead because I forgot to ask my daughter to bring me toiletries when she visited.

Went home in trackies, a t-shirt and the non-slip socks I pilfered from the hospital.

    Hi Madeleine,

    You have so many answers.

I too am Welsh but live in West London.

Whist in hospital all you need are night shirts that resemble dresses and a pair of cosy elasticated slippers. I did, only out of modesty, wear high leg cotton knickers. I went and came home in wide leg elasticated trousers. Take your reacher; also long handled sponge.
