Colcoscopy?

Has anyone had colcoscopy? Is it painful? My Gp suggested that she will refer me. I am waiting for an appointment at the moment.

Had one every year since my late teens due to cells. ( 46 now). had to go in every year for removal of cells etc. No problems at all with anything. Tbh wish l still went down this route yearly. ( Had overias out in 2012 and seriously never been do ill in my life actually so ill since overias were removed hrt is next to useless ). Sorry strayed off subject. Honestly don't panic it's not bad in the slightest as someone mentioned above like a smear. x
