Cold shivers

Does anyone get cold shivers throughput the day, especially in the morning? I wake up with anxiety every morning around the same time which is between 6 and 7,am, then followed with the cold shivers in my arms and legs. My feet actually feel cold to the touch. I have the electric heater on by my bed. It usually goes after a few hrs or so. Then comes back around 2 pm. And 6 pm. Then after 6 pm I usually have no symptons.

For some reason it's lasting longer this morning.

Just want to be sure if this could be part of peri

Sometimes I do get the hot flushes afterward but not as long as the cold chills. This peri has affected my quality of life. It's a daily thing for the past month or so. It is getting to the point of depression. My husband asked me the other day. When is this suppose to end? A question I can't answer but I pray real soon.

    Hello.

Yes, I get cold flashes or shivers and I get hot flashes too.

I have anxiety and depression and get weepy.

I wake up with a rush of adrenaline in the morning. I feel it in my chest, it is a crushing burning feeling and feel sick and anxious

I am getting acupuncture twice a week and it is helping all of these symptoms as well as I am sleeping much better.

As far as how long is this going to last? Unfortunately there isn't a definite answer. It is different for every woman.

Read past posts on this site and you will feel better. You will know that you aren't going crazy. That what you are experiencing is happening to other women and that they are understanding and sympathetic with you. You will find many suggestions that are helpful.

Keep in touch. I hope you feel better soon.

Take care. You are not alone.

For the past few days I've been noticing that I get really tired just from walking or talking sometimes. Then I notice that the heart palpitations would start. Yesterday, I was able to do much more, but today has been a make up from yesterday I guess, lol.

I have no appetite today, yesterday I had a huge appetite. I can't afford to lose any more weight, I've already lost too much.

With the morning naseau and gastritis.

I have an appt in a couple of hrs to my gyn to get my IUD out, I pray that this may be my answer to my prayers, or at least some of it.

Update: I got the IUD taken out yesterday but my Gyn act as if she did not want to remove it. She wanted to know why did I want it out? I told her because I am constantly in misery, I wake up every morning shaking, hot and cold, dizziness, weakness, my gastritis stomach, etc. She said oh that's just menopause. I said is menopause suppose to be like this daily and all day long? She said " because your body is not producing the hormones that it used to produce. But I can give you something for the menopause to help you." I told her I still want it out because at this point I'm willing to try anything to see if it lessen my symptons. Afterward, I had a slight anxiety attack, my hands shaking, etc. Then afterward, I got a complete calmness came over and I felt this way until this morning. No anxiety or whatever, I was even able to do some cleaning when I got home. Something that I was not able to do before. This morning I woke up with hot flashes not the cold ones this time. I managed to go for a walk to ease it. I made a mistake of going to smoothie king and normally I would omit the sugar in the smoothie but not this time. What a big mistake! Which brought on the gastritis and caused my fatigue and slight anxiety. But overall, my anxiety and emotions has been much better since the removal of the IUD. My mind is more calmer. Giving more time I pray it completely goes away.

Also, did bloodwork with my GYN and a BHRT gyn. I meet with the BHRT gyn on Saturday with results and plan of action. I don't think that I'm going to use the prescription from regular gyn but rather BHRT.

Mary, always go by your gut feeling! At least the IUD removal helped some, I guess or menopause symptoms will not get much better until our bodies get use to the very low hormone levels. I was told it takes 3 years after menopause for our bodies to get use to the VERY VERY low hormones. I am trying NOT to use anything because they have side affects and can make my stmptoms even worse and then you got to wean off of it! What is BHRT? I don't take anything not even HRT.

I could of written your post, I feel just the same. I had the coldness and body tremors in Peru about three years ago and now iv been in menopause for nearly three years there back. For three days now iv bern constantly freezing and the internal body tremors really scare me I feel ill have a stroke when my face and head tingle also I get jelly legs and if I stand a while I feel I’ll fall forwards. I’m struggling through my job at work this week and can’t wait for home time.  I don’t have anyone for support only this forum which I rely on to keep me sane. Thanks all fellow sufferers x

I also feel like I'm going to jump out of my skin. It feels like restless leg syndrome but it is my whole body that is feeling restless, twitching.

I am trying to avoid sugar and other carbs.

I sweat mostly during the night. I wake up during the night and I am sweaty.

Yes Mary. Cold flashes is my trademark perimenopause symptom. I almost never get hot flashes. Only shivers. It feels horrible because on the onset I get those internal tremor like sensations and wobbly, shaky legs. I used to get them only in the evening or in air con rooms, this last week I started getting them first thing in the morning, along with anxiety and lightheadedness. Menopause is the tree that keeps giving (weird symptoms). When I think that there s nothing left to feel, something new pops up....
