ive been on mirtazipine for 10yrs, decided to come off mid DECEMBER, i was feeling great until two weeks ago, when i've started suffering from insomnia, nervous feelings & headaches. i really dont want to go back on them again, does anyone know how long these withdrawals will last please? i am feeling really low.

Thanks so much for responding. The lack of sleep is wearing me down. I feel I'm going mad. More than 14 weeks from the start of tapering and 10 weeks since completely off. I'm beginning to think that I am permanently changed. Im anxious all the time. At what point did your insomnia begin to improve. I see no sign of improvement

i went cold turkey off of mirtazapine about 6 or 7 weeks ago i believe, it has gotten better for the most part but i still get some withdrawal effects such as headaches, loss of appetite, insomnia, and of course my depression and anxiety have been pretty bad, i was on 15mg and dropped down to 7.5mg before stopping completely, wouldn't recommend cold turkey to be honest, try to keep your head up it will get better, if you have a benzodiazepine then i would take it occasionally for when the nervousness is really bad, also melatonin before bed for sleeping helps a lot

I've read on other posts that for some people it'll spike up around 3-4 week, but i didn't experience that, is it bad for you at the moment or not so much?

it might not be too bad for you then, since you did the slow taper, but it was more around 3 weeks that I started to feel at least decent enough to leave the house
