Coming off mirtazapine

Hi. Been taking 15mg at night for about six weeks and I've decided that anti-depressants just aren't for me. I'm looking for advice on how to taper off without having withdrawl symptoms. Thanks in advance.

Your GP seems unfortunately mis-informed. The initial newer *1980's) AD Prozac (Flouexitine) was safe to withdraw by alterinating doses as it has a long half life but Mirtazapine and most other ADs have a short half life means alternating doses causes big fluctuations in the amount of drug in your system from day to day.
