Well done for posting so soon. Time for some decent TLC and time. Def with explaining to people up front that headaches can be constant or temporary and movement can make it worse.

Hope you can find most comfortable pillow for you

    I never got that right.

If you get any food down, your doing well.

Keep in touch, sending you thoughts of good sleeps and relaxation.

    Onwards and upwards..

      Hi leanne73120

Only obvious short term benefit was loosing over a stone in weight.

Good luck on the pillow. I still haven't resolved that one.

What pain mgmt you on. I was 2 x tramadol with 2 x paracetamol three times a day. Still on tramadol 5 weeks later, but only once or twice a day. Really important to get something that helps you manage.

Only consistent advise from everyone who went through this is you must listen to your body and not force yourself. This weekend I went out after 7 pm to get a takeout for an hour (still not allowed to drive) and following day wen to beach with family and dogs, just for couple of hours collectively gave me more intense headaches that have lasted 2.5 days.

Your health is priority for a while. Just because you can do something does not mean you can be relied upon in future at that time of day. Nature of our recovery also means we go backwards as well.

Now your home, you can start the real progress!

      Onwards & upwards

      All the best

I got 2 paracetamols and 2 30mg codeine and tbh i really cant find the comfy barrier i had when i was in hospital. I feel im oki todo the walkin about and things but my partners a gem wont let me do much lol

Meds are v individual in understanding what works and what doesn't. Co-codomol has made me hallucinate.

Comfort at this time is open to interpretation... It's a relative term.

You have a caring partner which is best start you can have once away from all official medical people 😀😀😀😀

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly and great news that's you have been able to wash and straighten your hair lol I can really  imagine how nice something like that must feel for you!

A little bit of normality for you to after what I am sure have been a long 10 days. Fingers are crossed for you to carry on with a good recovery :-)

I would like to say I am not nervous but I am, but am just thinking of the future. I am 30 years old and have had the headaches as long as I can remember, but last year after a particularly bad chest and a month of coughing I started getting new symptoms and unbearable headaches which led to me being sent to the Walton centre in Liverpoo Where I was diagnosed.

      Thanks again for speedy reply

      Hi Leanne

Every step forward that puts a smile on your face and helps you feel more like you is worth celebrating.

Hope headaches are playing less of a role in day to day life. Even though there are backward steps, as well as forward in how we feel.

      Here is to your progress.

      Hi Tom

Sending positive thoughts for you and your October date. Had similar fears, but now 6 weeks post op today.

Lots of people on this site seem to have positive things to say about specialists in Liverpool.

If you got any Q's, do ask. Lots of people helped give me patients perspective and confidence to face the procedure. It's not automatic guarantee of improvement, but when I researched, could not find any other option for potentially improving quality of my life.

So now I'm a Zipperhead too.

      Best Wishes
