Hi Jina, it's not too bad, they fill your ear with anesthetiser then you wait while it works. You're then taken back in and the Consultant sucks the gunk out of your ear. I'm not going to lie and say it didn't hurt, it was uncomfortable but it only lasted seconds. People are different, you may not feel a thing😊 If I start having any more problems I won't hesitate to have it again.

I go back in a month so I'm gonna talk to him about it. I'm just 35 so Lord willing I could still have a lot of life left....I would prefer to live it with as little of this as possible! :-)

Good idea Jina, it's not much fun not being able to plan ahead in case you have an attack😕

I have no screen problems--just dizzies and nausea. What helps. I have done betahistine, atavan meclizine

Just about anything triggers mine off, computers, things moving fast on TV screen, sometimes just moving my eyes and not my head, I feel nauseous, off balance and very detached, vile disease

Seems like being in a crowded store bothers me as well. And you are right about moving just the eyes and not your head...I think that is why the computer gets to me...I have to close my eyes when I'm scrolling up and down. I have found too that driving causes me more problems than just being the passenger. Especially on a bumpy road. Lately I feel like I can't do much of anything in the way of exercise either...it can be a bit depressing.

I forgot also bright strip office lights can affect some people, I always have my sunglasses handy, they may help if you have to use a computer a lot

    Hello Jina,

I too have Meniere's which was finally diagnosed by 2 independent audiologists 3 years ago. I have it in both ears with the orchestra warming up in both of them all the time. I also have bouts of dropsy, the last one on my regular "healthy" walk last week when I fell on the road and damaged 2 ribs and sprain my left hand. I have become used to spinning out on stairs and escalators, constant nausea, and migraines. I have found that wearing sunglasses when watching TV and using the computer extremely helpful. I also find that supermarkets are dreadful for Meniere's as the pliished floors and harsh overhead lighting sends me into a downward spiral. So, I have now found a small supermarket that has matt flooring and I wear sunglasses to help with the reflection (I look pretty cool too!!). Overhead lighting can also effect me when watching TV so I wear a brimmed hat.

    Hope this helps,

    Cheers RubyLou
