same feelings here. Penis head burns though if i don't pull my foreskin down when i pee. Been on cipro and doxycycline for 3 months to clear this and perineal pain. Sadly, not completely cured. Doc thinks my tight foreskin and perineal pain and causing the penis head discomfort and that circumcision may be necessary. though this may give some relief, I doubt it will completwly solve the issue. Starting to think its a urethral issue, but im not too sure...the urge to pee comes from the weird feeling in my penis head, not from the bladder. not too sure what to do at this point honestly

I should mention im 21. Also i meant i have tight foreskin and a short frenulum, and the doctor thinks this is the prime issue

Tight foreskin is not a good sign. Follow your doctor's recommendation.

I'm 30 in February and I have been putting up with this for nearly a year and a half. Similar symptoms to the majority in here. Been for tests, cameras, scans and everything completely normal. As horrible as this sounds I'm glad I'm not the only person who has this issue, the way doctors have treated me is like I'm making it up and that I'm crazy.

It's getting to the point where I am contemplating suicide because its that bad. I don't feel like I'll be able to have a relationship as I couldn't even think about sleeping next to someone with the way I feel. It is always worse for me at night as soon as my head hits the pillow.

I literally get up every 5 minutes and dribble out next to nothing. Has anyone in here thought about seeing a psychiatrist to see if that will help? I think that's the next step I will take.

if anyone has any sort of short term fix for getting some sleep at night it would be much appreciated.

    Thanks guys.

Hi guys, so I’m in a similar boat to most people on here by the sounds of it. I’ve been having the symptoms for a year and a half now. Urine feeling like it’s stuck in the tip of the penis. I’m pretty sure I’ve struggled with this every day of that too. Sometimes when I pull my pants back up after urinating, the urine leaks out which i tend to find is quite a lot and that is the worst bit about all this. But I find if I stand over the toilet for a while I can sometimes get it all out if i try hard enough.

The only other symptoms I can recall are needing to go frequently but very little comes out, the massive amounts of after dribble, and a sort of raised lump on the tip of my meatus which leads me on to what I believe this could be.

Well there’s a few things i think it could be. Let me first say though that I haven’t had the lump checked but I’m pretty sure that it is a sort of scar that healed when I cut it. I had this before I got the symptoms we are talking about because I used to rub my tip on something rough to pleasure myself, so much to the point that it cut it and so it grew back as a slight lump that leans over half of my meatus. I’m pretty sure this isn’t the cause for the symptoms though because like I say I had it before the symptoms started and I can hold my meatus wide apart and it will still be the same and feel stuck when urinating.

The weird thing is though that I can pinpoint the day as to when it started and it was when I was rubbing my penis but the sensitivity was so high that I felt like I had pulled something, a muscle or something in my stomach area.

So from what I’ve been researching I think there’s two or three scenarios or maybe a combination of all of them.

Number 1. As people have mentioned already it is very possible that it is an inflamed urethra and meatus which just needs to heal. So after finding this thread and the only relative information I have really found on the matter, I’m going to try and abstain from masturbating and making sure to drink lots of water while trying to exercise a lot, cutting back on caffeine and keeping my penis clean all the time. I have tried this in the past and it has helped symptoms it’s just hard to stay on top of it all.

Scenario number 2 which I haven’t heard anyone mention hear or anywhere for that matter is the pelvic floor. I think it is more rare for men to have problems with it which is why it’s not talked about much but from all the information I’ve found it matches my scenario exactly. The only thing missing is the fact of the feeling in the tip which is why I think it could be a couple of things together. Although saying that, I did read that having too tight of a pelvic floor can get urine stuck and not be able to flush it out properly but that was on a women’s health site. It also stated that it could feel as if the pelvic floor had ‘dropped’ into the bottom of the vagina, which in my estimates could be what this feeling is in the top of the penis?

The third thing that I think it could be is a nerve related cause. I can’t seem to find any information on this so it’s hard to know exactly but from what I hear with damaged nerves is it is usually accompanied with a lot of pain, of which I am not experiencing so I can almost rule that out. I have found though that when I’m struggling to get urine out of the urethra if I take a piece of toilet paper and hold the tip it stimulates me to empty it all out which I find odd but it does the trick.

The other main thing that I have taken from this thread which I didn’t think about or came across was the psychological aspect of it. Even if it’s not the root cause it definitely has a big part to play in it. As people have mentioned, when I’m busy and not thinking about it it’s absolutely fine for the most part (except when I need to urinate) it’s just when I’m sat at home in lockdown with nothing to do when I start thinking about it more and doing more research etc. And every night I’ll get into bed and get that feeling of it being stuck so i start Googling stuff and the worst is always mentioned ( the c word) so my mind starts going off and then I can’t sleep which leads to being tired the next day and being more anxious about it and then I can’t be bothered to exercise because I’m tired so this again makes me more anxious and it definitely can’t be helping.

But before my conclusion I just want to add that I have been tested for STDs so I can rule most of them out and i am 27 so I think most doctors as mentioned in a previous post would rule out prostate problems.

So what I’m going to try and do is just live a healthier lifestyle and cut back on caffeine and masturbating. Along with doing some pelvic floor exercises and relaxing yoga sessions.

As someone mentioned, their urologist said that it could take anywhere for a year for this thing to heal so if we just stick in there and grind it out then there can be a positive future ahead.

Could you let me know what you think about all of this and I will keep posted on how it goes.

I had Laser surgery in France 10.5 weeks ago everything going OK except for the fact that over the past weeks I have been experiencing burning sensation in my urethra, some days are worse than others, it appears to be the length of the urethra although at times the end of my penis seems more tender. Has anyone else had this sensation and if so what medication did you use to ease this discomfort, and does it improve with time. Is this just the nerve endings knitting together after being disrupted by the laser surgery. Not die to go back and she the surgeon for a couple of weeks.

Having a very similar issue for the past 6 months

    Symptoms:

    — After urination I get the sensation that urine is stuck in head of penis.

    — For long periods after I urinate I get the sensation urine is trickling down my penis.

    — Discomfort and tight feeling around perineum.

    — After I ejeculate I get similar sensations to what is described above.

    — Erections not effected, however penis feels less sensitive since symptoms started. If anyone have suggestions on how to increase sensitivity when erect, please let me know.

    — Symptoms only start if I urinate or ejeculate. If i dont urinate in the morning the symptoms do not occur. They only start from the first time I urinate that day really.

All urologist tests fine. Prostate normal.

Urologist prescribed UTI medication anyway. Non effective.

    Tried cranberry supplement non effective.

    Open to all suggestions.

Has anyone got a sugarcane testimonial?

Also does anyone know how or why their symptoms started?

Strange that so many people have the same issue and there is no treatment!

just wanted to add my input as I see a lot of you going through the same thing, also a lot of people on redd it are also going through the same thing. the main correlation I find between the 2 is excessive masturbation, which in my case I would say is the cause. As Chris said further up inflammation of the urethra can take a long time to heal as it's constantly being used, and I imagine it's wet in there and things take longer to heal if their wet?

      Anyway,

I found my symptoms to come back around 2 weeks ago after a rigorous masturbation session. I did have the same issue around 5 years ago, I went to see a homeopath and she gave me some tablets which seemed to boost the healing process. All in all it took around 6 months to heal.

I had my urine tested for UTI which came back clear today.

In my past experience, I went to the urologist. He did a cystoscope and basically found nothing. this only made the problem worse for a time.

all in all I see a MASSIVE link between masturbation and this problem. as many people have said abstaining from such activity is the only way to let it heal.

my thoughts are with you guys as this is an absolute hell to deal with.

      my symptoms are,

constant feeling of need to urinate, around the tip of my penis and around the base of it close to my bladder. sometimes a burning sensation in the tip of my penis, mainly when the urine is more concentrated I.e in the morning. but dosent seem to be top frequent.

the doctor I spoke to this morning said based on what I told her it is more than likely irritation and inflammation of the urethra.

      thanks guys

has anyone tried cypro for this condition? it was one of the options i was offered at the beginning when my issue started, but was too scared of side effects back then. i thought i will give it a try when nothing else works. well, 2 years later, i think that time is now, as i feel like i have exhausted all the other options and i keep hearing from my doc that i need to give it a try
