hey all. I'm basically having similar problems.

I feel I need to pee after iv just been for a pee. it feels like there is still urine in the head of my penis, iv noticed when I pull my foreskin back over the head a drop of urine sits right at the end of the urethra. I keep dabbing with toilet roll to make sure it's all gone but still feel the pressure like I need to pee. iv had 4 urine tests done. Taken 2 sets of antibiotics, been given a cream for bacteria. Now been put on tablets for over active bladder. After 4 weeks they are not working but been put on them for another 2 months.

iv also started getting random sting sensations in end of urethra when I. just sitting doing nothing. No other pain or burning. No discharge. Told the doc and he didn't seem concerned. Not sure what to do as the doctors seem unhelpful and I don't think these tablets will work.

      hey. is cypro Ciprofloxacin?

I was on tolteradine for 2 weeks the put on to solifenacin. Been put on this one for next 2 months.

I hate needed to pee again as soon as iv peed.

if I squeeze the head as I adjust my foreskin after peeing I can get a couple more drops out. this still doesn't get rid of the feeling that there is still some left in there. It's making me depressed and short tempered. Im really struggling mentally now aswell

same here, looks like a lot of people are struggling with this, yet there seems to be no simple cure that i can find.

    hi,

same issue with the constant feeling of urine in the head of my penis. no other symptoms, no infections, no prostate problems.

definitely seemed to be some sort of irritation to the urethra. i used the topical cream called "polysporin " with the "triple action". this is just a common over the counter cream to apply to wounds etc.--i applied it to the tip of my penis and put a small amount of the cream in the actual hole of my penis and the feeling is now gone (thankfully).

i applied it once in the morning, once after each time i urinated, and once before bed. The feeling of urine in the head of my penis subsided after a few days and i only applied it in the morning and before bed. i just kept a tube of polysporin in my pocket in case i needed it.

i drank plenty of water and the feeling was gone in less than 10 days. i no longer apply the cream and everything seems fine.

good luck everyone, i know how frustrating this can be.

hey mate, any chance you could send me a link to this cream or even a picture, doctor just prescribed me daktacort, miconazole nitrate and hydrocortisone cream if that means anything to anyone, basicallt an anti inflamitory cream that ive just started using today but what youve said sounds promising if this doesnt work

Hi. I was prescribed that cream aswel. However I don't think it did much for me.

I had a quick look for polysporin triple online. Looks like it will be about £20 with postage to get here in the UK as we can't buy it over the counter here. I'm very tempted to buy it.

i have been doing polysporin for a few days now as suggested but can not tell any difference. i believe this same symptoms we all have have different causes potentially and what works for one doesnt for other. i am pretty much left with trying cypro, but iam starting to believe i might have cpps and will ask doc for cpps pt next.

Hi all. Here is what I've learned. Sharing in case it helps someone, but I fully recognise that each case is potentially quite different.

I have had the same symptoms - constant feeling at penis tip of needing to urinate, some urethra irritation etc. No infection showed from urine culture and urine dipsticks always normal. Cystoscopy had no unusual findings. No bladder infection.

    A few points:

    1. Semen culture found the bug - an E. coli strain in my case. Multi-antibiotic resistant. Showed as heavy growth. This allowed the choosing of an antibiotic that had sensitivity. Microscopy showed same i.e. abundant presence of bacteria. Was simply not being captured by urine culture. This can happen. Semen culture is often not done for a variety of reasons (practical reasons as well as microbiological ones), but sometimes the interpretation of the result is very clear. Consider it with your doctor.
    2. Try to see if D-mannose helps. I have managed to somewhat control urethra symptoms (not eliminate) with regular intake of D-mannose. This is only of benefit with E. coli. If you don't have confirmed E. coli infection it still may be worth trying in off-chance that it is E. coli. This bug is the most common cause of UTI and bacterial prostatitis. D-mannose is a naturally occurring simple sugar present in some foods. It has various functions in nature, but here it works by binding the outside of E. coli. Hence, the E. coli can not attach to the tract, and gets more easily eliminated with urination. According to most manufacturers, it is safe to use, as the body does not use this sugar readily for energy and most of it gets eliminated in urine. Its available in health food shops. Many women use it for bladder infections. Its use in men is less common. Consider with your doctor, esspecially if diabetic.

These are just some of my experiences. I hope they are helpful to someone.

I thought I was on the road to recovery . For about 10 days my symptoms had pretty much gone and was almost back to normal. Then yesterday afternoon things has kick off again and this evening It seems like im back at square one.

Keep the head up. I appreciate it can be disheartening.

Try dmannose from a health food store. Nothing to loose by trying it for a few days to see if helps with symptoms. It can help urethra symptoms if E. coli is involved.

Hey. iv been on D-mannose for the last 10 days so I think k that might have done the trick. Just wish symptoms hadn't came back. Will stick.with it though and see how I get on

      Hi

I am finding this discussion topic very interesting as I have something similar. I had a Laser procedure for enlarged prostate 13 weeks ago, all going well until 2 weeks ago and then since then I have had a burning pain in my Urethra, which has been quite intense. When i mentioned this to the surgeon on my follow up meeting which was 3 months after the procedure, he just said that this will pass, which is not helpful. Urine flow good, however I have an urgency to go. Not sure what is causing this. Had a urine test and result all clear, going to try D-Mannose to see if this helps

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Jacko

i get this sort of relief from symptoms once in a while. a few days with no or minimal symptoms, i would think i am about to get symptoms free soon, but then it just starts over again. i always try to analyze a few days back and figure out what might have i done diferently that could trigger no symptom days, but can never figure out.

I'm trying to do the same. Workout what I'm eating and drinking etc, but not been able to pinpoint anything. Iv cut back on caffeine but dosent seem to do anything. Also tried drinking more including red bull and dosent seem to make it any worse but I'm reluctant to do it just incase.

iv been taking Solifenacin for OAB (don't think that's the problem but that's what the doctor gave me)

also taking multivitamins, D-mannose, Uvi Ursi, and Cayenne supplements to see if I get help from any of them.

I have noticed a difference but it does only last a week to 10 days but then symptoms get stronger again. Iv notice that there always seems to be a bit of urine sitting in the end of the urethra. When I don't have that things seem better. iv been random stings in tip of penis aswell but not often so I'm wondering if urine sitting in the tip os causing irritation.

There must be something that can treat this fully and cure it.

I have 3 weeks left of solifenacin then I'm contacting the doctor and see what's next
