Cramps??

Hi. I am 13 weeks post op after TVH, sacrospinous fixation, anterior and posterior repairs.  I have had a good recovery so far but feel a long way off being ‘normal’ whatever that is after these ops. Still uncomfortable in most clothing and underwear 😬.

Over the the last week or so I have had new twinges. Down the front of my abdomen from my belly button to the pubic bone. Pulling sorts of feelings. Also from top of legs to labia. Actual site of op no pain. Could this be deeper stitches tightening and pulling. I can’t remember when the stitches in the fascia start to dissolve.

But out my main concern is a painful attack last night. It felt like my whole pelvic area had cramped. Especially around the back passage but right under up to just under the belly button. I had a lie down and did relaxation breathing. It subsided after about half an hour. Anyone had this. What is it. I was quite frightened by the intensity. Far worse pain than anything after the op. X

Until last week I had vaginal cramping (now a bit more than 11 weeks out). I had (and still have a bit) of an overactive pelvic floor. But my pt has been working wonders so far. She massages triggerpoints and gave me relaxation exercises to do at home. The last five days have been much better compared to having cramps on and off for more than two months.

I have been so good doing my PF exercise. I was wondering if I had developed a tight PF from them. Seeing my physio next wed. Do you still have to do squeezes or are you avoiding them at the moment.

I am not allowed to until I can properly relax them.

Ok. I haven’t done any today. But think I am holding them tight without realising. But panic if I don’t do exercises I’ll not have support down there. 😬

Same thing here. I am afraid things will fall out again so unconsciously squeezing them often.

Hard to get the balance right. Before all this you never gave your pelvic floor a thought.  Now conscious of everything. How I stand , sit,  walk clench or relax. U look forward to the day I don’t think about any of it anymore.

So I have been squeezed in to see Urogyne on Monday. Feeling worse by the day. I have been on vagifem now from a few weeks. I’m beginning to wonder if I’m having a bad reaction to that. Even clothes I wore straight after op are hurting across my belly. Bladder feeling delicate to the touch. Discomfort spreading further down the legs. Took last pessary yesterday. Anyone any ideas?

Yes hun my friend couldnt tske vsgifem either.it csused pain and burning. If you need a vsginal estrogen ovestin estriol is excellant for vaginal health of our tissues. Phyl uses it too and dhe finds it very good.

I think ill change over to it too next week . I am uses yes products which are really good.all natural organic ingrediants and off tge website and your gp. I use the waterbased lube, and vaginal moisturiser.. stops all the rubbing and oddness lol. Keep trucking on my lovelyxx
