Cystoscopy or not cystoscopy

having had a few utis which were dealt with by antibiotics now find the irritation still there. advice from people including gp is dont jump into cystoscopy as it can leave you worse than before as theres no cure for irritable bladder. any helpful,comments.

    Ooops - forgot two important things.

    Constipation!

    Keep "regular" try to go every day so you don't have a heavy colon sitting on your poor bladder!

    Also, sleep, sleep, blessed sleep - so critical to our mental health.

    Do you ever check the PH level of your urine?

    When my strip shows a low level, say in the 5's that means my urine is acidic and the bladder is likely inflamed.

    Acidic urine leads to burning when I urinate and irritates the tissue down there as well.

    Stress can affect the acid level but, also, what you eat and drink.

      i am fortunate i dont have any burning on urinarion, just frequency and some pelvic ache. i am on fodmap,diet which keeps all bad things out, plain food only

      hi ann any difference, im still having slight burning but also the last few weeks i feel like i am leaking ans feel wet down below not sure what it can be never had this before

      sorry i have never had burning or leakage. mine is pelvic pain and frequency. we need to see specialists

      do you think cystoscopies have caused more problems than you had? DRS ARE VERY QUICK TO PERFORM THEM YET THERE DOESNT SEEM TO BE MUCH IN WAY OF SUCCESSFUL TREATMENT MAYBE SOMEONE WHO HAS HAD THESE CAN ADVISE

      it could be, but when i look at my pants they are not wet, , i do wear a panty liner even thats not wet, i dont understand
