day 3 carpel tunnel post surgery

I have just took the big bandage off as it was sweating my hand and left the dressing on it ive got to go back in 2 weeks to see the consultant.Has anyone used a stress ball to strengthen their hand ?

    Day 8 and its started to get a bit better can move my hand better now but still cant grip or hold things dreading havin stitches out next monday been told thats not very nice experience still feeling down though didnt think id ever feel this bad but at least i can sleep better at night now not waking up in pain

      Having the stitches out did not bother my sister at all, but we are all different

      No I was told its awfull ,total rubbish I am a coward and was so scared but never felt it at all .dont always believe what u hear

      Agree and only added last bit because of a medical condition I have that often causes problems with different things, epilepsy that is stress triggered. So if think bad will be, a vicious circle and one there is no need for.

      Defo I made my self sick before and even made my husband come with me I sat there and second later done lol people can say silly things to scare people .even the op was not as bad as people made out .also my recovery has not gone to plan and so missing work now

      Me to lol I have till 23rd off and we go away on 27th so for. Few days I may have a odd few days hol and start back fresh after

      i never thought id say it but i do miss work! The operation was great i was really nervous prior because i have never had a op but the consultant and the nurses were fantastic. I wouldnt say im in pain its like someone has a tens machine attached to my hand and every now and again its like tingling but like really faint if that makes sense lol .

      Does make alot of sense, and that is a sign that nerves are healing/settling down.

      Told me by my consultant and also the nurse, can also give a feeling that can only be described as an internal itch
