I'm on day six post op with a TKR but my first one was on 22/10/14 and I seem to remember that it took about 6/7months before I began to "forget" about having a knee replacement and to start treating it as a normal knee! I had the dead tree trunk feeling from the word go with the first knee but this new one seems not quite so bad! You are still ar a fairly early stage so perhaps give some more time?😊

I am nearly eight months post op and still have dead weight in bed and dead weight when walked too far.
I just hope one day I will wake up and not give my knee a second thought, because although I have seen slight improvements, everyone says it could be a year or so before you stop thinking about it. We also have to remember it will never be like our old knee.
We will get there, take care.x

I will tell what helps me ,are you allowed to take a otc sleep aid and do you have a heating pad . These two tips were my parting gift from my home PT. I sleep with mine ever night it turns off after two hours i set it on med put it on my knee off to la la land. Then in the morning i turn it back up the heat loosen the stiffness i don what i would do without it

Oct means over the counter sleep aid get anything that does not include pain meds get the store brand it works great and you get 4 times as much.and the same drug store will have a heating pad their fairly cheap and once you get these you will be a happy girl. Trust me

I took one and had a really good sleep.
Then this morning I put a heat patch near my foot which was painful (from driving)
and later one at the back of my leg.
Apart from feeling tired around 4pm I actually felt a bit normal and watched TV and forgot about my knee.
Thankyou so much. You should have been a doctor.
