Delay between overdoing it and suffering bad bout?

Posted , 10 users are following.

Does anyone else find that forgetting to pace themselves can bring about a bad bout, but days later? Sometimes, when I forget to pace myself because I am feeling not so bad (rarely good!), I carry on and do too much. At the time I think it's all ok, then about four or five days later I am completely wiped out by it and have to rest for days. Unfortunately, I haven't really learnt from it as I - like many others of you - find it hard to adjust my activity levels to accommodate this horrible illness.

I found out that same thing, I swepted and mopped my floors on a friday evening, monday came and i felt likeI had just been ran over by a dump truck. I did make sure we did not have any plans for the weekend because I new I would feel bad after doing my floors but I felt tired and very little pain.  I am feeling like nobody will clean my house like I do.

I have gotten so tired of taking pills, they make me feel like I eat pills for breakfast. I seem to gain more weight taking them than I do eating food.  Everytime I go to the DR, they want to me something else and its already expensive. I can't afford to be in his office 1 a week with new symptoms and given a new perscription.  I do what I can and deal with it

One day I feel a little better ,then the next day feel like Ihave taken 2steps backwards

terrible pain in side, back, and hips.

have noticed my skin is getting really dry, balance is awful, can't drive because of fibro fog, which is really frustrating, as been driving for nearly 40 years. And miss it.

miss the independence, feel like an invalid, but look around and there is always someone worse off than you.

did a little too much yesterday, and suffering badly today with painful hips through doing too much walking..

Do you take any supplements to ease symptoms.

Magnesium oxide 375mg at night, along with: a Vit C with zinc and a ferrous sulphate (iron) in the mornings (as I was anaemic too) and at lunch I take a Calcium with Vit D as I was classically low in that as well! I havent taken B12 as my levels were fine. I'm sure there's a digestive/immune component to all this! cheesygrinJK

Think I might have to see my dr, as I take Atenolol, lorazepam and zopiclone  Colofac, and just come off cymbalta has it made my Fibromyalgia much worse, do not know if there are any drug interactions with taking Magnesium. Must find some relief from tight muscles and pain.

      Thanks for your help.

Do you get fibro fog and balance problems, some days can't walk in a straight line,

get pain in side shoulders back and hips, and my skin is very dry. Some days I wonder whether it's worth living, I am. 78 and suffering really badly at the moment

feel very sorry for people a lot younger. My psychiatrist tried duloxetine and that as only made things worse, now come off them and still feel awful

yes i tend to put my hand out for balance when i stand up brain fog is terriable , some medications can cause dry skin

Are you taking any meds, I have tried several and cannot find one to suit me

wonder if I ever will, most of them seem to have horrible side effects, which you could deal with if you did not have this awful fibro to deal with with all it's symptoms. My psychiatrist is trying me without any ADs at the moment just Lorazepam for a time, whether that will work who knows?

My hips are bad at the moment at night, prevents sleep even with a sleeping tab. You need to have a moan don't you

I am also taking Lyrica - just 75mg morning and at night - I occasionally take 2 when desperate. They suit me well, so it just shows how individual we all are. They definitely help me to sleep.
