Dental allergy?

Around five months ago now, I had dental work done. It was a composite filling, The moment the filling was placed, Something felt wrong, I had this strong burning pain in my face. Told the dentist but nothing was done about that, I went home and my cheek felt itchy and my eyelid on that side felt really itchy and it swelled, The next day I felt ill and noticed the gland in the right side of my neck swelled up, So phoned the dentist and went back. They checked and said they could see nothing wrong so consult my doctor. I had also noticed this strange chemical taste from the tooth which made it difficult for me to swallow. I became extremely ill over the first month, My neck tenced up extremely bad and I began having burning pain in my arms and tensed tendons, My stomach hurt like you wouldnt believe, I constantly felt like I wanted th throw up and the stomach felt like it was very much on fire, This went down into my intestines as well, My stomach and intestines also swelled up and I had constant gas for near two months or perhaps it was a bit long. So.. Here I am 5 months later. I have a constant throbbing in both teeth, Strange chemical taste at times that bothers my throat if I swallow it. All around my eyes are black and swell throughout the day, Arms and legs have these nerve twitches that happen quite often, I also have those in my face lately and alot of burning sensation throughout my body as well as itching, On the topic of stomach and intestines, I wont go too into unless someone asks I suppose, Vision has been blurry lately. And I know the first thing someone might say is it sounds like poisoning! Well within the five months I have been to the hospital atleast 9 times trying to figure out just what is going on with my body since the fillings. Nobody has had an answer for me. I have been to another dentist for a second opinion, First said it sounds like poisoning but realised no metal is in my mouth so said could be allergy but they are still not too sure. Even the Dental Pathologist I have been to see twice cant seem to figure out what is going on really. I also notice my mouth felt very hot for a long time, Eventually the gums swelled and became very red and now they are receeding extremely, A dentist I recently saw said it looks like gingvitis which doesnt make much sense as my mouth was healthy before all this, I am extremely afraid at this point to have anything done. I dont know what will happen. Also to note my lower teeth. Whatever is leaking from the top teeth got into two small cavities on lower teeth and very quickly they became huge cavities and it felt like whatever leaked into them caused irritation and then spread throughout the lower jaw. Any other info at all that someone might need do ask. I also at one point could not eat, Eating caused me extreme stomach pain so I ended up dropped down to 102lbs! I could not stant up or sit up without assistance. Could a systemic allergy cause things like this over the course of months as it is constant or might it be something far more serious that is not being detected? All I seem to do anymore is just sit in my room and cry. I really just dont know what to do anymore. Nobody can seem to help me but I cannot live like this. Any information would be welcome or any course of action I should take that I am just not thinking of would also be welcome. Thank you to anyone who takes the time to read and/or reply.

      Lisa, I had my mercury filling replaced 5 yrs ago with the white fillings (without my request!) and immediately had a reaction! Since that day I have seen over 12 doctors and specialists and have discovered that I am allergic to Balsam of Peru! This of course is a component in the white composite fillings and acts as a hardener. I had a patch test done to determine this. BOP is in many things! Google it. You will be shocked!

      If you discover you are allergic to the fillings, have them replaced with silver! And eat a clean diet with no spices, sauces etc. If you start on a pure organic diet with no spices and clean (no additives or junk added to it) you may see an improvement. I have! I had French fries today that had Old Bay seasoning on them. I only ate 3 fries and my mouth is on fire tonight, full of what looks like canker sores. But these are a reaction to the spices.

      Best of luck,

    James, something has definitely gone wrong.

    Your symptoms your describing do mimic some types of poisoning - especially Thalium or arsenic poisoning. These two poisons are not typically screened for in a routine toxicology blood test. Your symptoms are also indicative of a neurological problem.

    I would research both of these poisons and symptoms and if u find that they are similar or identical, then you need to seek immediate treatment - you may have accidentally or intentionally been exposed to these toxins.

    By the sounds of it, you need to be referred to a specialist. I would ask your doctor to refer you to a Neurologist and inform them of your symptoms and you are well within your rights to ask to be tested for those two poisons. It is not routinely tested or looked for in a usual screen as they can be expensive and your blood tests may even need sending to an even larger pathology laboratory that has the specialised equipment to specifically test and isolate the presence of these poisons.

    And always remember, follow your gut instinct and if you do not feel right, or satisfied with their diagnosis, you can always seek a second, third or even tenth opinion.

    There is something very wrong and it may be just coincidental that these symptoms have started after your dental procedure - or they may be totally unrelated.

    Please make sure you follow this up, and let me know how you go, but it seems that something is attacking your central nervous system and needs immediate investigating!

    Your information, whilst detailed, suggests that this has become to the very severe stage, especially if prior to this you had no mobility and were a normal independent and normal functioning person. The change in your overall physical condition alarms and concerns me. I’m not sure what facilities you have access to, if your in an isolated or urban area with large or small local hotel hospitals, but I URGE you to seek a specialised neurologists opinion immediately. Ask to be tested for those two toxins in particular. Please keep me updated on your condition. Also, try and research your family history as much as possible to see if there are central nervous system problems somewhere in your family medical history. Good luck and keep me informed as I too, am very curious to see what your diagnosis is.

      Dialysis57, I don't think it's a Central nervous problem ; White Composite fillings are highly Toxic with BPA and possibly some kind of Metal, they Leak into the Bloodstream Continuously and in my case I notice they cause Abcesses along the jaw line; an Abcess is like a parasite, it attacks the body;

      ALL Fillings should be banned; having a Biological Dentist extract your tooth is the healthiest option.

      White Composite fillings are Dangerous, they leak and poison the bloodstream, and deplete the body of vitamins; you need to have all teeth with fillings extracted as soon as you can

    Hello, James.

     I'm new here to the forum, but I happened to be reading it, and have run across your same symptoms after having 5 fillings replaced with composite after having them previously filled with metal. I too went to the dentist and he suggested a serum test, which I have read mixed answers about. The reason I am dropping a line here to you is, (1) I hope to god you have found something to help you, and (2) I have some suggestions for you If not. At the onset of the swelling of the neck, sick feeling, sores in the mouth, shaking, and breathing difficulty, I read somewhere that an antiviral or bacterial will help curb some of the symptoms. I purchased a natural supplement made by a company called Neurobiologix that goes by the name of Neuro Immune Infection Control. It is designed for Neuroimmune problems such as ours, and it DOES work! Also, this same company makes a product called Bowel Restore that helps with combating allergic reaction. I have been taking these two products every day now for about a month, and my symptoms are WAY better! They don't entirely get rid of them, but they may give you some much needed relief. The Neuroimmune Infection Control I take (2) capsules, (3) times a day, and the Bowel Restore (1) time a day in the morning. I also take a powder supplement drink with the Bowel Restore. All of it helps! If I skip on any of them for a day, I feel like garbage just like you do. I work 11 hours a night 4 days a week in a factory, so I have to have something to help me maintain life. I too have done a few doctors visits with no help at all! From what everyone else is saying here, get those damn fillings out ASAP! I know I am going to start on it here in a week or so. It really sucks to spend all that money thinking your doing some good, and some jerk makes you worse! God bless and I hope you are better!

    Hi james I have had a very similar experience. It sounds what you are allergic to is methacrylate /ethyacrylate. Basically anything with acrylate in it. Acrylate = plastic. I recently have had similar reactions. I had patch testing done on my back for 1 week and out of 100 things I was allergic glue (acrylate) which is a compound for plastic as well. I have worked in a nail salon for over 8 years. It is a common substance found in gel nails, acrylic nails, dental procedures, printers (ink) etc. Basically I was told by my dr that glue evaporates and breathing this is and being around it has caused severe sensitivity to my scalp , face, and eyelids. I have quit my job recently due to this. After doing extensive research I have read that this is a major compound in dental fillings! my mouth has been bothering me greatly similar to what you stated. I have 3 fillings I am considering having removed and having a different compound used to replace. I was also unaware that acrylate is found in cosmetic products which I was using ,certain gums I was chewing, and even in my acid reflux medication (protonox) which I was using every single day!!!! I Hope this helps if you havent found answers yet. I definitely reccomend patch testing on your back if you havent had it done already.
