Dequalinium chloride or metronizadole?

I was treated BV with Fluomizin, which is dequalinium chloride and therefore not an antibiotic. BV returned after a good week, only this time it wasn't a fishy smell nor yeasty. I don't know how to describe it, but I know it isn't right. Gyno now gave me antibiotics for chlamydia without doing any tests. I've never had any discharge or unpleasant feeling, just the smell. I was thinking if she was too quick with giving me antibiotics for chlamydia and instead should prescribe metronizadole. Did anyone use Fluomizin and what's your "impression"?

they should have done a swab before prescribing anything as u may not even have chlamydia bv is usually a fishy smell

My gut feeling says I don't have chlamydia, because fishy smell started few days after my partner was giving me massage and some massage oil got inside vagina. 15 years ago happened the same with my ex, except that time I had recurring yeast infection that finally cleared up after antibiotics we both took. Gyno justified prescribing me antibiotics before taking a swab that it takes a couple of weeks to get results back and that I probably want to get well asap. I told her about oil incident and she said it's not BV, because I don't have any discharge.

I agree Kim, some dont have a discharge like me its sometimes i get it, but when they checking for bv they check it right there and then, thats how they will tell you if you have it or not!

Apparently she doesn't have lab as she needs to send everything out. Yup, that is me, no discharge, no irritation just this blody smell.

I got them about 10 days ago, but I was using Multi-Gyn which helped for about a week, so decided to wait. But yesterday I could sense the smell again. Only this time fishy smell is on vulva (can smell it 30mins after shower), while inside vagina is that indescribable smell. I decided to start with chlamydia antibiotcs, because I've tried 3 different over the counter BV remedies + Fluomizin and it keeps returning. I know it isn't the smartest idea.

Omg, really? I noticed in between it was awful smell, but when I was done with it ,it worked the best when it comes to smell wise. But after I was done with Fluomizin and probiotics smell reminded me of concrete or something like that, lol.

My gyno prescribed me now clindamycin antibiotic cream and Diflucan oral antibiotics as I developed a mild yeast infection as well. Fingers crossed cream will work for me as well.

Hi how did the chlamidia antibiotics work for you? and whats the name of them?

I got Doksivibra for chlamydia. When I was taking them it got back to normal (I almost threw a party, haha), after I was done I got my period so I couldn't take any vaginal prebiotics, but I was drinking 1000mg of vitamin C and for 3 days using tampons infused with prebiotics. Smell was normal. After I was done with my period, just a couple of days later I noticed a minor watery clear to white discharge and smell, it was stronger in the morning. It wasn't really fishy, but it was more yeasty and urine like. For 2 days (just to test it) I was taking vaginal PH prebiotics which took away the smell right away. I went back to my gyno anyway and she noticed a mild yeast infection so prescribed me Diflucan and clindamycin cream (as according to her yeast infection doesn't have smell and could still be BV, thought this part was off, but ok). Today is my last day of taking everything. I start prescribed vaginal probiotics to balance PH tomorrow. And another course when I'm done with period. She said if this won't work, she's sending me to a specialist.
