Diagnosed with diverticulitis. 15 days ago Just started feeling pain again

Does it take longer for the lower abdominal pain to go away.  I was told that my CT scan showed a lot of stool in my colon.  I am going out of the country for 14 days (i had to postpone the first trip, but had travel insurance).  I am afraid that something might go wrong even tho my blood work and CT scan showed I was good.  Did anyone else have this problem?

Felt nauseous yesterday and today again but not all the time.

Thanks for all your comments.  My doc is giving me antibiotics to take on my trip in case I have a flare-up.   My CT scan showed no diverticulitis after 6 days on meds.  Also showed my pelvic floor is weaken and that could be some of the discomfort and could be muscular what I feel in my lower left abdomen.  I'm 62 and had 3 kids (which is normal to happen)   I have an appetite unlike before I was diagnosed.  If you feel something is coming on my advice is to go the ER and get checked out immediately so you can get the right treatment.  Thanks everyone for your support!

I'd eat light. Soup, crackers and no meat unless ground . Try a heating pad too. Only cooked vegetables. Better safe.
