Diagnosed with sinusitis, fluid in ear and infected dental carries!

Posted , 65 users are following.

Hi! everyone.

On April 28th, I finally went to see an ENT. He suspected that I may have chronic sinusitis. Ordered a CT scan to be sure. The following day I felt so weak and sick, I had to go to the hospital. They performed a blood test, urine test and CT scan of my sinuses. The doctor said he saw fluid in my ear, infected dental carries and I have sinusitis. I was prescribed five different medications (augmentin, flonase, prednisone, loratadine and zofran). I finished the antibiotics on Sunday, yet I still feel really bad. The facial pain and weakness is not going away. I'm at a loss at what to do. I can't see a dentist in such a weakened state. I don't think I could tolerate anything being done to my teeth until I get my strength back.

Infected sinuses, teeth and ears! What a nightmare! Does anyone out there have problems like this? Don't know what to do. So tired of feeling so very sick.

Hey Kim, you poor thing, Im sorry to hear you're struggling so badly,

I can relate to everything you said, except I've not woken up with my nose bleeding yet, touch wood. Sorry I haven't replied in a couple days, I had a migraine for 3 days straight and couldntbare to look at a computer screen, I'm so insanely frustrated at this whole situation.

I hope you're starting to feel better,

    All my best.

      Hi! Eamon.

Sorry, I haven't posted in the last two months. I've had a really difficult time recovering from two very bad wisdom tooth surgeries. How have you been? Good, I hope? Write back, if you can.Kim.

      Hi Kim!

I'm not sure you'll ever see this.

Did you have any success in getting rid of your health problems??

      I hope you're doing better.

I haven't had any success unfortuantely, I've had two surgeries this year, but the doctors can't seems to zero in on what's going wrong.

Anyway, hope to hear from you,

      Eamon.

You sound just like me....I hate to even tell u, I have bin sick sine October last year, the doctor calls it Chronic inflammed sinusitis. Antibiotics or allery meds wont work. I have been so so sick, like u say, very weak, I could barely walk, and dizzy. Since March this year I starting to finally get out of the house. I use to be a very athletic person. I ran daily, I cant run anymore sad and yes Like u said, tired all the time. The doctor tells me theres nothing he can do for me. I live as thow I have a balloon in my head and it expands on and off daily. After being severly sick for  7 months, I can get out now and I'm on 10 months of being sick. I have good days and bad days, it usually gives me maybe a week of feeling good and 2 weeks of being sick, and top the the dizzy not good so so sad. I hate to say it but I dont feel so bad knowing others have this also, its still really horrible. I'm going to ask the for another referal to a different ENT doc. for a different opinion. there must be a cause !! I send u healing vibes smile

I must have a look at this. I have suffered for soooo long with sinus problems. It takes months to shake off and I am fed up of taking over the counter sinus remedies. Foggy head, lack of energy...so over it!

Look into silent acid reflux. Dont rely on doctors and ENT picking this up, they often miss it. And if they do examinations they look for internal damafe, where there is often none to fine.

You need to see a DENTIST as well, especially if you're experiencing teeth pain. Tooth pain can cause sinus inflammation, headaches, ear aches, neck aches. Your eyes are part of your sinuses. GO to the DENTIST.

Hi everyone, I have had the same thing and now the sinus thing has gone to my chest so I am coughing constantly, bleeding nose. The only thing that helped my sinus pain was to inhale boiled water with tea tree oil in it - just 3 or 4 drops, put your head over the bowl, towel over head - BE CAREFUL if you are using boiling water, let some steam escape from under the towel so you dont burn your face/nose! Inhale the steam for around 5 minutes, if you need to blow gently to remove any gunk, do so and then steam again. I find that my nose is pretty blocked after doing this but 15minutes later I am breathing freely with no sinus pain under my eye, ear (do this as many times a day as you want).. T tree oil is antiseptic, fungicidal and germacidal - you can also put a few drops in hot water and swish around mouth - SPIT IT OUT DONT SWALLOW! It is good for teeth/gum infections.. I am trying to avoid an op on my sinus to clean it out and so am trying everything I can other than antibios ..... also takingCapryl and probiotics....

Go to a dentist. Did all u did still sick. 8 months antibiotics, neti pots nasal sprays etc. Dizzy sinuspain ear pain headaches. Sat chair 8 months no better except for few days here and there. Dentist found crack intooth infected cant feel it as root canal. Oral surgeon extracted drained and sutured sinus floor. Did twice as 2nd adjacent tooth got it. Now not dizzy pain swelling gone lost 30 lbs so weak but gettg out finally.. Sinus surgery per se has problems. See if u have any teeth root tips inside or touching sinus. even if not root tip travels bacteria up to sinus thru soft tissue invading bone floor of sinus. Drs ents all 10 i saw couldnt fix but oral surgeon did. Get teeth checked. Is a common cause of all these symptoms and so is acid reflux see gastro dr. Both said often treated teeth and gastric issues and atients finally got well. May hav go 2nd time ora surgeonn after extraction if still any pain as infection nasty and may need 2nd draining and 2nd tooth next too might be infected as mine was but didnt feel it. Good luck.

I have finally cured my infected sinus - the pain in my teeth, ear, nose and forehead and the bleeding nose went away in three days. I took Serrapeptase and it is amazing. Highly recommend for sinus as it stops the inflamed sinus and reduces mucus - you can buy it from the natural health shops or online. I take one before I go to bed. And if I forget its amazing how the pain in my sinus comes back again. There are numerous videos on youtube and other information out there if you want to do some research. The best think is no more antibiotics or facing the sinus operation!

This sounds more like a fake review - advertisement - to me. If you are so sure that your sinuses are bad when you do not take this then why not sort out why they get this way in the first place? I have spoken to lots of people who have tried serraptese for these things and say they do not work and are a waste of money.

By the way. The sinus operation does not stop the sinuses playing up again in the future. The only operation work having is to remove pollyps - if steroids wont do it -

or to hvae the bone or skin in the nose removed to make it easier to breath.

This is definitely NOT a fake review! I was diasognosed pan sinusitus, the 'most impressive' case the surgeon had seen :-) I had been on antibiotics constantly for over 2 years, seretide, flixinase, flixitide, steroids, antihistimines.... you name it. BUT i was adamant I was not going to have invasive surgery which comes with many unknown side effects and not always effective. SO, I took my health into my own hands.No.1 DIET, i quit sugar and gluten and went very low carb; this was because I had read the candida can trigger sinus (and now I do find if I have a sweet desert my sinus's start to hurt)  2. I had allergy testing done & am allergic to dust and dog, so am having injections weekly to immunise myself. The Dr at the allergy place also said I had an allergy to aspergillis, so he put me on a course of antifungal medication.

It was while I was having a very depressive episode with sinus that my health insurance guy mentioned serrapeptase and said he had know many people found it was incredible for sinus. I would have taken anything to get rid of the constant pain...and after three days it was history, no sinus pain, no sores in the nose, no bleeding - gone. So for ME it worked incredibly well - we are all different and it may be different things that are triggering the sinus events. I dont take the serrapeptase every day now, just when I have a flare up. I have also lost the bad cough that came with it. Life is good again, I am still working at a full cure but to live without the curse of sinus pain is fantastic.

Ok so it is not a fake review, but with all due respect the people who post fake reviews, and I have seen a few that definitely were on this site, are hardly going to admit it,.

AND to say your sinusitis was IMPRESSIVE? You make it sound as though you had studied for years and got the highest marks in an exam. Like you achieved something wonderful.

Sinusitis is caused by fungus, an allergy, or silent acid reflux.

None of them is impressive, there is nothing clever about having something happen to you

And I know lots of people who have had simialr situatins to yours. Nothing to boast about. It is not an achievement.

Luckily for you someoneone suggested something and it helped alot. Am very pleased for you.l But there are dozens of other things they could have suggested that would have been more likely to help.

Researching for a few hours online would give you a list of them. Serraptese does not usually rank amongst them.

Hopefully with your injections and things to stop the allergies you will be alright, then that will be what got you better, nothing else. If it is really caused by those things there will not be more flare ups. If it is something to do with dust then you would hve that constantly not seasonly or now and then.

When my sinuses were bad lots of people told me to rush out and buy this and that.

To start with I did, it was always a waste of money. You have to stop and think abit when it colsts money. Then the person will always say oh but it helped so and so or oh but its wondeful. Ignoring that it costs you money and ignoring there are lots of peolple in that situjation it does not help or there are better alternativ

I have had my nose operated on several times. Had bits of bone removed, bits of skin and all sorts. Been through hell with my sinuses for years. And I got myself better.

      es.

Getting ill is not some sort of miracle, but finding the right thing so you are well is.

That is a pretty weird reply .... my ENT specialist quoted in his letter " CT scan showed a marked deviation of the septum and very impressive pansinusitus".... apparently I have NO air in my sinus passages..... I decided to work on it myself as I did  not want an operation. I had also tried lots of remedies, but yes the serrapeptase worked for me. The reason for this kind of forum is to share what does work and doesnt so that people can try if for themselves. Stop being a bully.

I am so very refreshed to hear that sinusitis can be the trigger to having Candida. I have been sick for a very long time, being misdiagnosed 3 times in a year. I am so fed up. I started with the serious sinus infections, then ended up one day feeling like a bug was caught in my throat. Hacking & Hacking trying to get out what ever it was all day long. Then early evening started feeling worst. Took my temp & had a low grade temp. Then over nite my throat was completely infected, couldnt swallow even water. Went to the ER, doctor only looked In my throat & diagnosed me with severe strep. Gave me a penicillin shot & a round of antibiotics for home & steroids. I got better fast. BUT!!! This was a beginning to a long & dreadful road. Since that, ive had episodes of the feeling that there is something in my throat that is hard to cough up. And with this comes, low grade fever, body aches & pains, headaches are a defiant. Whether mild or severe, in which exsist in my sinuses. Then to discover I have oral thrush, which I knew it before a clinic doctor diagnosed me. So now im thinking, that the stuff caught in my throat is Candida. But why???? Thats the big question. And I go to my primary doctor to get tests to confirm that its yeast in my throat, gave a sputum sample twice, & results come back with showing that in my cbc I had a high h-pylori & another bacteria from my sputum sample. But nothing about Candida. In which I know was presant due to the physical proof in my mouth. And my lab results didnt show a fungus smear. So my doctor puts me on 3 different types of antibiotics. Now im getting nervous because as we all know, antibiotics help yeast to grow. Here I already have candida orally and no telling where else, & now im suppose to take these antibiotics. Well I did it. After having done my research and put myself on a strict diet (Atkins) no gluten, basically the candida diet. The crap in my throat cleared up. But then I had to fix the bacteria found in my body. So here I go again. I took all three antibiotics, & I feel just a little better but got that stuff in my throat again for a couple days, now its turned from yeast (I think) to massive slimy trasparent mucus, that is driving me nuts. But only this comes & gos. It seems like its a allergy of some sort. But why the candida??? This is a mystery to me. And I have suffered with sinusitis for years. Could this be my break thru in finding the real problem. I took alot of natural herbs & spices along with coconut oil, in which has cypralic acid, to rid the candida. It helped alot. But I need it to stay gone. I thought that i had leaky gut that may had been the reason. But my sinuses have even given me eye discretions in the past 3months. And doc said there was fluid in my ears. So I guess, ENT here I come.
