different brand of sertaline will it make a difference?? Any advice appreciated xx

Hi, I've been on sertaline for 23days on 50mg. Seen my dr today and she wants me to go to 100mg starting from tomorrow. I picked up the new prescription and it's a different brand. Im using lupin 50mg which I still have a few left so could possibly double up and the new brand is ranbaxy. I've heard that people who have changed brands can have worse side effects and I'm worried especially with me upping my dose too. Has anyone had any good or bad experiences with changing brand and upping dose. Thanks for replying xxx

    23 days is not near long enough. Do not go up in my opinion. It took at least 6 weeks for mine to make a big difference. I'm now past a year and might start to think about coming off of it with help from a therapist. Be postive and dont go up in dose.
