Im afraid to tell you that its all to do with the menopause . I get this on and off and can somtimes be worse when you go into shops. Its really hard when your trying to carry on with life and working. Things will get better in time . Keep going and stay strong .

Yes i have this also!! Right now as we speak in fact. I did not have it for the longest time and now it's back. It is worse for me also when I go into big stores..it makes me instantly have anxiety. It hits me quick, one time a few months back it hit me when I was at airport and I felt like I was going to pass out. I grabbed my husbands arm and said I feel faint. Then it passed and never came back for a week or so. Then just a tiny bit here and there. I also have a referral for a doc for ear nose and throat, but have not made the appointment. This has been going on for almost 4 years. It went away for the the past 2 years. I Always have ice water with me and drink that really fast and it helps control it and make it go away. That's my saving grace. I am thinking its the hormones dropping suddenly? Its a guess. I went to my doc and that is basically what she said. Hope you feel less alone. It makes you not want to do anything except stay home.

Marisa big stores you are right. Last week i went into walmart and felt like i was going to pass out. I quickly grabbed what i needed and headed out quickly. Once i went through the doors i felt fine. I was thinking it maybe the lighting. This peri and menopause sure does havoc on a woman's body.

Hi hope it is definitely the lighting, be very careful of which stores you go into now that you know you get this instant dizziness, that is actually the beginning stages of awful awful migraines to come, they are triggered by the lighting and Wal-Mart is my worst store.. Tbe migraine follows 1 to 2 days later but the dizziness and nausea is instant! Protect yourself with baseball cap and dark sunglasses and or the glasses to filter out the light.. For me it only progressively got worse as peri has gone in and ive never ever had this before.. After I go into the bug stores and leave also the auras follow, looking at patterns especially leopard printed things become wavy very weird then the migraine attack follows and I do mean attack mine are not the silent ones they are full on attacks.. 😰

All triggered by lighting , I am a definitely in and right back out of any store now , and can't even think about entering a walmart ( no filters on their lighting) beat to order online or order and puck up car side if Wal-Mart ordering..

Gypsy014 its not only walmart. I went into home depot and my God i had to run out. I cannot believe this. Around ovulation last month i went to the gas station and the smell of the gas made me want to vomit. It is so strange all these changes. I will be going on bioidentical hormones in 2 weeks. Going to give something a try because i cannot live like this.

i know this is an old thread, but i was looking for someone experiencing same symptoms - what you wrote is exactly me, even down to the big store, Walmart! i figured it may be the lighting too bc i feel better once i leave. mine is not a dizzy or spinning but just feeling off/wonky in my head. not a fun feeling!

Hi Carrie. I recall being part of this conversation. I must say it was a total nightmare. I walk in to pick up some vitamins and lotion then suddenly a feeling of dispare took over. A off feeling, almost like i wanted to fall over, its so hard to explain. I literally kept speaking to myself, Your almost there, your almost there when i seen the entrance. Then once i got outside i felt completely fine. It happened to me 3 times after that, with gripping anxiety. Thank God i don't feel it any more. That too will pas. Hugs to you

I do this quite often. I never used to get dizzy until I started peri. Our hormones sure play a lot of tricks on us.
