dizziness, headaches, vision problems - help!

This is my first post, I've never used a website like this before, I really feel like I need some help and advice. I have read a few discussions on here but would really like some feedback of my own.
For the past 8 months I have been suffering from dizziness, slow going at first and was manageable, but I am worried that it was a warning sign as things are getting worse.
When it first started I would get random dizzy attacks when moving my head (feel like the room around me was spinning or I was still moving when I wasnt) I went to the doctors and he explained it could be from my operation and my body getting over the anaesthetic, just a keyhole op to take appendix out. He recommended I wait and if it didn't improve within a month then to go back. I returned a month later as the symptoms hadn't improved and was put on some antibiotics to "relieve" the symptoms. When this didn't work I again returned only to be given a higher dose of them for a further month . I was then told to wait yet another month without them in the hope it would relieve the dizziness completely.
Then it started to get worse. My vision has changed and not become as clear almost a bit cloudy and I see flashing lights sometimes, I have had my eyes tested and even been to the hospital for a detailed eye examination -nothing. Then around 4 weeks ago I began getting migraines with aura and have had one a week since it started and the dizziness has become constant. I notice it really bad when I am still and concentrating and it feels as if everything around me is moving and also when I move then stand still a wave of dizziness comes over me and completely throws me off balance almost as if the ground is moving , I never fall but always feel like I am going to. I returned to the doctors last and have now been asked to get blood tests which are in 2 weeks ad have been referred to a neurologist which I have been told can take up to 8 weeks.
This week it has been extremely bad and has reduced me to tears a number of times as it really frightens me. I have had a constant headache sort of behind my eyes which feels dull and almost like there is pressure in my head, for the past 3 days and painkillers aren't helping. Every time I walk, move, or even am still the dizziness appears. It is affecting my work as I am unable to be at my computer a long time due to my vision. I was told to go back to the doctors should things get worse and plan to go tomorrow evening to out of hours. I really don't think that I can wait 8 weeks for a date to see the neurologist and feel it needs to be done sooner. I have been reading about my symptoms and have no clear steer on the possibility but I am really worried at the possibility of a brain tumor as a family member passed away of this last year.
I think it's important to note that I am 21, and generally eat well and exercise regularly (not as much as of late due to severe dizziness) At the end of last year I suffered from panic attacks, costochondritus and anxiety following the loss of a close family member. Once I went back to work January this year things improved hugely on that front. I understand that anxiety is often linked to dizziness but I am struggling to believe this has stemmed from that. I now only suffer anxiety of fear of these feelings returning.
If anyone could please shed some light on what they think this could be or if anyone is going through similar I would be so grateful.

Have you gotten to the bottom of it? I've had similar experiences, even down to the high stress levels and anti-anxiety medicine that didn't help. The solution to my problem was dehydration. Like I know it seems so silly but once I thought about it, I realized that symptoms of dehydration matched what I was going through: shortness of breath, dizzy spells, anxiety, etc. And I started drinking half a gallon- a gallon and that's made a tremendous difference. I also drank SO MUCH coffee and that makes it even worse. But give it a try! It is so hard dealing with this inconvenience. But give your body a day or two to catch up and then you should notice a difference.

I'm not sure if first if message went through. Any short story. I've got cluster headaches. They are horrible. No meds pain killers could touch it. Bottled oxygen was the only thing that helps. Doctors don't know why but it helped me. That and knowing I wasn't alone. That other people are going through frustration of not knowing what or why it is happening. i wish u good health and try the oxygen

Hello,
I have been suffering from migraine heaches since 1974 and it started almost exactly the way you have described. Also, I've had ear problems which also caused some of the symptoms you have described as well. I am 69 yrs old and I have been thru so much I can't even begin to tell you.
Please see a specialst that understands what migraines are and how debilitating it can be. That is also the same for ear problems such as ear infections, swimming and getting water in the ear canal... there are so many things to look at. You might also have very low blood pressure...I have also been thru that..
Please see a specialist/specialists. Insist you think it could be any of the issues I just brought up above. I pray you find cause.

Dear fairlove1,
Um, hi. My name is justice. I am 15, and your situation sounds like what has been going on lately to me. But mine happens mostly at school. I get real trippy and my vision is spotty. I get dizzy and have to put my head down, or I feel like I will fall over. On thanksgiving, it happened and my brother thought I would pass out. My mom thinks that I'm over reacting, or a hypercondriact. But I get so scared, and I can't really feel my left side of my body for like 20 minutes after it happens. Please answer your opinion on what it is. Please.

Hi , I was just looking up just dizziness and vision loss for my daughter and came across this post. I see its old but you mite be still dealing with it. Last year I had same stuff going on. Wasn't feeling well all summer things got worse as time went on. About six months ago dizzy spells got worse and my vision started blacking out. I took vitamins everyday. I alway eat good , thing got worse and my blood presser was spiking. I drove myself to hospital they admitted me and gave me every test you could . They could not find what it was. One of the doctors ask if I have been bit by any ticks. I said like a year ago, he tested me it came back negative. He said some times the test can be wrong. Because all other test came back good he gave me the antibiotic for limes. I took what he gave me for three weeks the third week I felt great. I was me self again. Everything was back to normal. 😊 My daughter has low iron. I was told by another friend of mine that they had similar things but not limes.they went to the chiropractor to get adjusting and electro therapy. They feel better also. If its limes it could mess with you for years. It's very hard to detect if it's in your system more then six months.

The vision impairment is definitely anxiety. I've suffered from GAD, Panic Disorder, and PTSD since 2010 and whenever I'm not taking antidepressants and my anxiety gets worse, my vision begins to get weird. It's not really bluriness, but a weird "tunnel vision" feeling, almost like my eyes are trying too hard to focus. It is always accompanied by dizziness, balance issues (like I'm bouncing), and headaches. As soon as I go back on meds, it disappears. I had it real bad in 2013, again this summer when I tapered off of Effexor, and right now as I am beginning a new antidepressant my new doctor put me on. Although it's super annoying and makes it difficult to do daily activities, what comforts me is that it's not deadly or even dangerous.

Hi nagamani...I'm from India and moved to USA, to rule out brain tumor do MRi scan, that will keep your mind in piece. Regarding dizziness, so far I researched over the internet and myself going to other doctors this is my analysis.
1) Check if you have indigestion issues like gastritis, gallstones or low functioning gallbladder or Irritatble bowel syndrome - this can lead to dizziness,My dizziness started with my indigestion and low functioning gb now has gallstones. if you don't have any issues then move to option 2
2)Go for VNG test which will check if your middle ear crystals got moved, if yes then there are some physical therapy excercise to correct it.
3)Check your vitamin B12 levels with methamelonic acid, if low take B12 shots.
4) check for any cervical neck issues
5)good and deep sleep is must, see if you can correct it
6)Check if you have asgamatism in eyes ,if yes try to wear glasses to correct it.
7) last but not least , eat healthy food for 3 months to 6 months with no oil/fats/protein food, your dizziness should get reduced.
