Dizziness more when walking

Hi.

I'm really hoping someone out there can share the same or similar story.

so for The last few months I’ve suffered with dizziness that comes and gos.

I’ve put it down to my ears as I suffer with tinnitus but more recently I’ve been getting it quite bad when I’m walking or in crowded places which then causes my anxiety to go through the roof.

It’s a strange feeling that is hard to explain but it’s almost like a sharp bout of dizziness and ringing feeling in my ear then goes in seconds.

Has anyone else suffered this?

Do yourself a favor and google balance disorder doctors in your area. A regular ent has a hard time figuring out what is wrong.

      Hi Victoria,

Yes this is exactly how I am feeling especially walking in places like supermarkets!

I suffer with really bad anxiety so could it be that? Do you get ringing in your ears?

The falling to the side is definitely something I suffer with too!

I’m also getting the feeling of falling forward when I’m sat. Do you get that?

to me its anxiety , all the symptoms you have described or used to get them. Can you do this for me ( stand on a cushion how close your eyes count to 15 have you started to sway?are you on any medication for your anxiety? l get ringing in my ears .

Yes definitely get the swaying when stood closing my eyes. What does that mean?

I always thought the ringing in my ears was making the dizziness.

I’ve never looked into my anxiety so I’m going to the gp Monday to discuss.

The first time the dizzy spell happened in the supermarket I actually had a panic attack so that would seem linked?

For some reason I dizzy in supermarkets too. My vision feels off and I get floaters in vision sometimes. I'm 56 and have lived like this for many years. Its nice to talk with others for reassurance

did anything happen to you in your passed to cause your anxiety? you not born with aniexty. What dose are you on and how long have you been on it?

my mother had anxiety...siblings as well...i believe i was born with the high anxiety genes...my levels go crazy in stressful times such as going to a medical dr (i fear medical drs) ... my childhood was traumatic but made me a survivor not a victim. i get anxious out of the blue...can last months... its like a rollercoaster ride...lately ive been feeling the doom but i cant say what teiggers me. im on clonazapam (.5mg) once a day and prozac. what really helps is trying to "get out of my head" by talking aboyt my anxiety, forcing myself to walk even if its a 20 minute walk and accepting that this is what I have...plus my husband took a job in another STATE to come home on weekends- a wonderful job but i miss him and one of our sons is in early recovery opiate addiction- therapy helps too but there are days i feel defeated
