Do any of you wear high heels?

Just wondering if wearing high heels is over after new hips.  Have any of you been able to wear heels after like you did before surgery?  And how does it make your hips feel?

Unfortunately I was told not to wear heels, only flats. My physical therapist had me buy a pair of Sketchers for exercising and extended walking. I love fashionable shoes so this was discouraging news, but it was a great excuse to go out and get a few new lower-heeled pairs! smile

I see my surgeon for my one year post op next month and I will ask him.  I sure do not want to do anything wrong.  There are lots of very nice styles in flats these days.  Not at all like 20 years ago.

I can't walk in wedge heels, never could. Pre op I didn't wear any heels at all for just over a year but now I wear approx 2" heels for work and going out on an evening I can wear high heels again 😂

Thank you billiemaw, it is nice to know that it is possible.  I will most likely begin with the 2" heels.

went to a funeral on Friday, and decided I had to try my best shoes which are 1.5inches high cuban heels. I walked around the bungalow and had to take them off they were  creating a pain in my operated thigh. Have decided to stick with my flats for a while longer. cry Love Gill xxx

Oh boo this is what I am worried about Gill - I keep putting off trying on some black wedge sandals I've got from M&S 1.5 inch heels.

Luckily you can get some really nice flats. Im sure one day we'll be able to wear some heels........... 👡😀

Gill, it is a good thing that you tried wearing them inside first.  That is what I will have to do.
