hi all

ill try and make this quick!

just over a year ago I started to become unwell- little things, pain in my right hip, flu like feelings etc. my gp referred me to a rheumatologist, several blood test, all neg for rheumatoid arthritis. Over the last year my symptom have gotten worse and near on everyday to some extent. At my last rhumy apt he said I could have fibro and to discuss with my gp, I haven't done yet ( this was a couple of months ago) I'm just not sure if my symptoms sound like fibro... So here's a list of all my problems!!

Sharp strapping pains in my head

headaches Maybe once a wk

joint stiffness in wrists, hands, ankles, knees

pains in all joints, & some fingers

pains in chest

muscle pains in legs and forearms

pins and needles in hands and feet

warm sensation in feet

stabbing and sharp pricks tingling feelings

heavy feeling in legs when laying down, it feels like I can't move them. If I walk too far my legs, hips and ankles become painful and difficult to walk.

sudden jolting in brain when trying to fall asleep.

this can happen at anytime, sometimes I feel much worse then others.

I dont feel I have brain fog, I am very forgetful and clumsy

I don't have tender points and I'm not fatigued all the time.

Sorry if if this is long winded, I have felt something is wrong for so long now, no one seems to care or take any notice and it's really starting to get me down. Life has changed so much for me, no longer fit and active, I just want to feel like me again!!

thanks  for taking the time to read this

best wishes to everyone 😊

Hi Han75,  in my early years after my MVA I still was putting up with various issues but I tried to push through my issues.  Some days were better than many others.  I even used to be very much a physical person, and I mean physical as in really strong and fit.  After my MVA things changed dramatically.  After a few years of putting up with issues I decided to try exercising the demons by doing the odd physical tasks...  Always felt good to get back into working with something physically on a good day.  BUT my lessons were always repeating themselves, because the flareup would actually lay me out flat for days on end!  I would be so ill because of the pain and painful noring of the muscles and bones.  I have had to totally change my lifestyle..  I cannot walk far anymore, I am still 'at times' strong BUT I suffer for whatever physical things I do..  I to also have shooting pain from  behind the eye region that hits the back of my brain (feels like the back of my skull!)  My Left side is the most affected, with constant everyday issues. It has progressed now to taking out my complete lower back.  I also have serious exploding hot flushing due to the pain.  It's the bodys way of dealing with things, liken it to a 'release valve'.   Another thing I have, and I have had this since my very early days after my MVA and it's best described as having a missile hit you in the diaphram/upper stomach region and exploding the most pain gripping energy out to every nerve ending/ periferal regions.  It has me crippled and locked in so to speak, whilst it does it's thing.  I cannot help but let out a deep long agonising type of growl/yell, because the pressure is so great.  When it abates, I feel so dam relieved.  I can take a lot of serious pain even long term BUT that is next to boarding close full labour pain.

Because it's something to do with our brain and the mixed messages we can experience a myrid of different pain issues and aches anywhere in our body/head.  Headaches I have several types.  I know which ones are set off by my neck.  I know which is affecting my left eye.  Go easy on yourself and don't push yourself to hard physically, Take care and yeah go easy on yourself
