DO NOT LIKE NEW FORMAT!!

ok....I've made up my mind! I don't like the new format! I'm having to search individually for each post ( often can't remember which topic to refer to)....as far as I'm concerned, (in my humble opinion), this is just ONE more thing to stress over!
Do I need to p/m everybody individually now??....or start new discussions? This doesn't seem an officiant way to go about things....not a happy camper!!

The blue "Reply" box is the way to reply to the original post. Yes - what a pain, you can't see what you are replying to (or at least, I haven't worked out how yet). At the bottom right of each reply comment you will see, in rather faint type, Reply. Click on that and you can reply to that particular post.
But to be honest Lynda - we've been here a couple of times recently, everyone hated the last one, but the hosts don't really care. Take it or leave it. I think this is even more horrendous than the last offer. But what choice do I have if I want to keep helping others?

When did this happen? Was on two days ago and it wasn't like thisπ³ And with everything offered there still isn't an edit option! I guess we'll get used to it it like last time but does seem less user friendlyπ

They did that last time - made the "report" box more obvious than the reply. I also logged out by mistake when I wanted to check my account. Then I found that you can't check your history any more, unless you get a subscription. And we've lost the cute emoticons, the little rolling the eyes one, and the blushing face and the little devils. π¦

LOL....I sure hope I'm replying to the correct post! is this u Eileen?? omg...my eyes are still not right after being dilated (can't see very well), and now I feel I'm typing this 'blindly' cuz I'm unsure of which post I'm replying to!!!
YIKES...is it 'their' job to keep us perpetually confused/stressed??π

Haven't tried it yet so no comment except to say I just wish we could have all round slower tech. Language evolves slowly and we get time to adjust. I shout at the TV when words are mis-used or mispronounced and that makes me feel better and as though I am still in charge but with updates and new formats it's take it or leave it and I feel incompetent.
Let's all help each other and we may get to love it.

I used to read the newspaper with a pencil in hand as it made me feel better if I could correct the mistakes!

They have also recently changed the patient.co.uk which my surgery use for patient info and that is horrible too. There is also all sorts of changes on the keyboard too, that is not the same as before and is really annoying. Why dud they have to change it? I thought we were going to be able to amend after we had posted.

They blocked me because I had a URL in there and they have just let it through.

Which if you want a laugh is hilarious - as patient.co.uk is effectively an internal link which are supposed to be allowed - or were. Wonder what else they have lost?

Our surgery has changed the on line service for prescriptions so I have resorted to embrace it as anything that makes my brain work may ward off dementia. I have now decided not to be put off by the new forum as I don't like to let anything beat me. there may be long gaps between replies but I'm determined to get the hang of it.

It's now 2:34am in California. I just awoke and decided to check my phone and SHOCK!....this "sucker" seems to be up and running!!
now that I've taken a breath, I'll give it a go again! I too, do not like to get beaten (especially, by modern technology!)π
I lost my sweet mom about 10yrs ago to Alzheimer's disease, a TRULY ugly disease! so I guess I should embrace this chance to put my brain to a vigorous workout!.....π

I really liked the old version at the surgery, the current one seems to have lost all my old consultations data. Patient website says it is the surgery's problem, the surgery say it is Patient website who have caused it, sounds like the same problems that we are going through. On saying that I do like being able to go on-line for prescriptions etc.
