DO NOT LIKE NEW FORMAT!!

ok....I've made up my mind! I don't like the new format! I'm having to search individually for each post ( often can't remember which topic to refer to)....as far as I'm concerned, (in my humble opinion), this is just ONE more thing to stress over!
Do I need to p/m everybody individually now??....or start new discussions? This doesn't seem an officiant way to go about things....not a happy camper!!

There was nothing wrong with the last one! I hate change. It's more like an email setting now we can send attachments. Ah well nothing we can do about it so just roll with it...hope you are all doing ok....heaps of good thoughts.....

Well I got to put in my two cents worth ... I dictate into my phone / tablet and I do not like the fact that it does not capitalize the first letter of every sentence. I did not have this problem with the old version nor do I have that problem on any other website. I mean this spell check is great to have I haven't tried it but it's there if I need it. But to have to go through and capitalize the first letter of every sentence is more than a little irritating

absolutely, I completely agree w/the capitol letter situation!
I've got enough on my plate right now, so please everyone....forgive my laziness in not getting 'with it' for correct letters/spelling, etc! and btw....this KILLS me as I'm a former teacher!😱😱

NO I do not like it. But it's partly smoke and mirrors to trick us all because now if you want to do things like check your history you have to have a subscription.
If you want to keep in touch, I'm more often found on HealthUnlocked as HeronNS.
Cheers!
And no littel Patient emoticons any more. 😦

what's a subscription? and does it cost?....
I tried to get on healthunlocked when I was concerned I didn't have access to THIS forum and was unable to do so...I'm not as computer literate as I would like to think!😲

Are there any young people in your circle? One of them can get you onto the other forum no problem!
I discovered the subscription page when I went into my profile to check my history. You used to be able to see all the discussions you'd started, all the replies you'd made, even who had "liked" a post or reply you'd made. Now you have to subscribe to something called "Pro" and that to my mind means it costs, although I didn't check further so don't know if it really does or if so how much.

Hi Anhaga
You can get onto the posts and replies if you google 'PMR GCA Forum bones, musckes and jounts' That will take you to the new layout of new discussions, replies etc.,..👍😊

Yes, a subscription costs money, in pounds sterling, sorry don't have pound symbol on my keyboard. On an old manual typewriter we used to type an L then go back over it with a hyphen. See, all leaps in technology leave some useful little tidbits behind....

I could not find my profile page any more, I went to my account/logout and it logged me out! Where is the profile page?

Sorry, Mary19086, I have no idea what you are referring to. I have in the past been able to go to my account and see there all my previous posts, answers, etc. To do that as of yesterday I have to pay for a subscription.

That happened to me too. I had to log in again. But if you are careful you'll see that you can ignore the change my password stuff and to the left is a list of other options. It's a very confusing way to access one's account. But as it turns out you can't see the interesting stuff anyway unless you pay.

I learned to type on a typewriter too. But I found it hard to send it thru the world wide web! Hahaha!

That isn't what we want/need Mary. The profile page used to list previous threads you had initiated (as Posts) and all the replies you had made. It is no longer available.
In nearly 10 years I have started some 60+ new threads, all of them on a relevant topic with information in the initial post. Sometimes it was a reply that covered something significant and it was felt to be particularly pertinent so I put it as a new post - which meant that I could always find it and reuse it. People who know me could also go to my profile and look at my past posts to see if I had already pontificated on a subject. It saved me a lot of work. On one forum I have a whole section with collected wisdom, not just mine, I would add anything someone had posted that was really good and useful. I still fetch things from there on occasion.

Hi EileenH
Ah! gotcha....i hope you can get them back...what a waste of time and effort if you are unable to retrieve them. A sad day when years of valuable information is just cast aside. My heartfelt kind thoughts to you, also anyone else who finds themselves in this position....hope you get it all back asap....

I believe you - I was explaining to Mary why her suggestion wasn't the answer.
