Doctors Need More Training in Field of Hormones

Hi ladies, society really needs doctors who have in depth training when it comes to dealing with hormones. Most doctors are not skilled in the mechanics of hormones and the effects it has on the body. Especially for women. Many women are just given a prescription for anxiety, and a referral for the psychiatrist.
I think they just don't know where to begin when it comes to dealing with women who are experiencing hormonal changes. Hormones are so complexed, and their job of keeping everything balanced is so huge. We have to really have to be an advocate for ourselves, because most doctors are clueless and others don't want to be bothered.

Hi Maria,I'm in Australia and recently found out I have simple cysts in both ovaries ..3 in one ,two in the other.I'm 47 and have been trying to level out hormones with vitamins and vitex ,eating well etc before the next ultra sound in two weeks.Hoping the cysts might have shrunk or disappeared so I can avoid surgery. The neck throbbing has really eased up,libido back and time between period and ovulation stretched out so some good things are happening.
Doctor and Gyno' suggested zilch about levelling hormones except to go on the Pill which I declined.
I've been thinking to track down a Natropath to help me find the right diet and mineral, vitamin supplement routine as for me I want to go as natural as possible.I think I was iodine deficient too, as after a few weeks of taking it I am happily sweating again after a long long time of wishing I could in hot weather and during heavy physical work.
Are Natropaths common in the UK and USA?
