I had my ECG and ECHO tests done today.
THANK GOD both reports came back absolutely normal.
I was... am relieved but I still have this ...( idk how to explain this feeling,) feels like my heart is being stabbed or pinched or pulled on and off many times throughout the day the sensations last for a sec or less and continue on and off throughout the day. Any time.Sometimes they dont happen at all.
The more I think of them the worse they get.
And they are reallllly uncomfortable.
They're actually happening right now. Every few seconds.
I was CONVINCED something was wrong but both the tests came back nomal.
ECG was normal.
In ECHO, the doc checked up my heart and showed me too! It was scary.. you know, seeing my heart.. ( its like an ultrasound) everything came back normal! And both the docs and nurse were basically smiling
They were like " you're a healthy 20 year old"
Why the hell am I feeling this way then! GAH!!!! And yeah, I get this lump in my throat feeling on and off too... I can still tolerate it but this feeling in my heart. I just wanna cry so hard right now!
Whats goin on!
P.S I visited the Biggest and the best hospital in my Country.
It cost me alot too. * sigh*

Hi,
I know thisome is an old post, I wadon't wondering if any of you with the similar symptoms are feel8ng better mentally and physically?
I seem to have developed this chest pain which started all of a sudden one Saturday whilst I was just at a family party. Nothing to trigger any chest problem, just a sudden tightening pain and (the scary bit) slight shortness of breath. I went to the emergency room for a check and they ran a few tests, however they came back to me saying I was a healthy 28 year old. This made my day, however I was still feeling a little pain, nothing major. I was fine to work through following Monday and Tuesday with delight discomfort but nothing that stopped me from working, however the sharp pain came back on Wednesday. In between this time I had a chest xray which came back fine. I had to miss work to attend another emergency room, having run the same tests again the did not find any problems however I knew this is was not normal. When you here them say it's fine the pain slightly subsides which is a little strange, probably anxiety.
A week later after a few 'back to normal' days I suffered severe (I would think) heart palpitations and dizziness during a lunch break at work. I tried to ignore this and turned to breathing exercisespace, however this only made matters worse. I was quickly taken to a nearby walk-in centre and there they saw that there was a slight abnormality with my heart rythym. This is scaring the helloyds out of me and now I'm overly anxious, my mind is not at rest. I have been told to go to my local doctor and request for a 24 hour heart monitor tomorrow (04 October 2016). This is scaring me ever so much , which I believe is making matters worse, but I can't help but think of it.
Has this happened to anyone and if so how did you go about getting this treated etc?
By the way I was on holiday in a really hot country for 2 weeks. I returned 2 weeks ago, the problem started 6 days later, not sure if this is linked to my issues at the moment?
Someone please advise.

Hey I'm the same age with the SAME EXACT situation. What I found was anxiey is a very real thing and while I was convinced it's physically medical, I was told it was all mental which leads to physical symptoms, I've done x-rays, stress tests, ekgs, blood tests, normal blood pressure, heart listened. All tests were normal. Anxiety gets thr\e best of us, while I'm still scared and worried at this moment I was told it's from anxiety, ALSO if you lift weight and workout that also triggers it, cyto sketal pains/ pinched nerves. All this together!

I'm having the same issues, so I know how it is and I'm really sorry that you're going through it; it's super scary. I always feel like I'm having a heart attack or about to have one. Right now, the left side of my face, arm, leg, and chest are uncomfortable/tingly/tight and have been for hours. I had an EKG a few months ago because of these symptoms and the doctor said I was fine as well and it was just my anxiety. It's so hard to believe the doctor when we have these symptoms. I went back like a month ago and they refused to give me another EKG because they said I'm fine, but I wish they would have checked so I could have peace of mind. I might go back tomorrow and try and get them to give me an EKG

Hi Tiffany my name is Luke and I'm a 19 year old male and I have the EXACT same thing. It is making me depressed because most of my day I notice my heart beat in my chest and even in my stomach and the left side of my chest feels almost tender. I've been to two cardiologists and they both say I'm healthy. At night when I try to sleep I can't because all I can feel is my heart pounding in my chest. But I know I'm not imagining these things because I know a few short months ago i did not feel this way. It gets worse when I have alcohol. Did you find out what it was?

They are saying your organs arent in danger. Thats what the drs are telling you. You are lucky so be grateful on that aspect.
Now see a doctor that can explain this and help guide you to manage it. A psychologist, a counsellor or a psychiatrist adrenaline rushes are felt. Your body feels it and reacts to it. It is real. Its just the body knows how to handle it i guess. The core problem is coming from your mind..fight or flight and yes its triggering stress hormines and adrenaline thru you, thru your nervous system and the bidy hurts from it its just nit dangerous and doctors do not know how to fix it. A good decent mental professional can explain it was better and hopefully guide you on ways to manage it.
try to ignore any stigma you have or the people around you have with any mind glitz or issues ....all this because it is real whether or not it is validated. It is very odd at this point in time that gps, er, all medical professionals dont acknowledge it with the needed compassion and intelligence. Its one of every five people surely even the brightest drs know a person with an anxiety disorder. The world needs to stoo avoiding it and sweeping it under the rug because way too many millions and millions of people are suffering with it..age is irrelevant it doesnt care about age.
this bugged me because i dont understand how no one in the top notch hospital sat down with you to discuss mental health and anxiety disorders following the results of the exams.

I don't feel anxiety but I must have it , I would normal never come on to a web site and write abt things like this but felt I needed to get somthing of my shoulders and also explain that it seems like there's a lot of people that suffer from this I don't believe the medicine they give to fix this helps but I have started to meditation and I'm hopefull this will help

If you are verified healthy, like I am, ecg/cbc tests, you really have nothing to worry about. Heart palpitations happen to everyone, some just realize it more than others. The more you try to self diagnosis, the worse you'll feel.
I will say look into Magnesium Citrate and potassium, we usually don't get enough of those, supposed to help with heart palpitations.
Always stay positive, palpitations do not hurt the heart, just the mind.

Dude how long have you been feeling it I'm in the same boat and I'm almost for sure it's not anxiety.
