I have had anxiety for 15 years and I'm 29 years old, I have had fears of different things ov er the years but my main problem is now i feel like i'm dying i get a tight pain in my chest feels like my breathing is short i can't breathe properly, my muscles ache and i have just a little pain in my chest where my heart is and in my left lung i'm now convinced i have lung cancer i work and own horses and i am constantly brushing them alot, I cough up a little bit of brown mucus and when i mean in a little bit i mean a little bit barely visible but i can notice it which makes me become anxious and panice, I read on the Internet that brown mucus could be a sign of dust i do have rhinitis which doesn't help as i can't breathe out of my nose properly which makes me breathe out of my mouth which as you know it's not normal to breathe out your mouth all the time does anybody else have a fear that they are gping to die from lung cancer or dying all the time that's my fear i'm convinced there is something wrong with me, thank you so much looking to hear it looking forward to hearing your replis 😢😢😢

Try to datach yourself from the anxious feelings & recognise them for being unhelpful to you & always see the doctor if you are overly concerned with an ongoing condition.
I wish you well.

I remember being told to do breathing exercises which with pain ribs and around to spine really made the pain worse.

I'm 35 & have been suffering from health anxiety for the past couple of years now and although I still have my days I found that CBT has really helped to rationalise my costraphic thoughts which used to spiral out of control. CBT for me has definately helped change my thought process and this has helped reduced the amount of pain attacks I have for sure.
To answer your question, yes I feel the way you do on a regular basis. I feel as though I'm not breathing right not getting enough air and as an ex smoker often drive myself crazy with thoughts of lung cancer etc. In fact out of all the things that trigger my anxiety the breathing is definately the worse for me as I get really scared and worked up.
I recently downloaded the app from this website and again this is something that I have found quite useful you can refer to it as and when you need to and it helps you with your breathing and helps to rationalise/take your mind off your thoughts when your having a moment.
As for you I'm sure it's just anxiety that your suffering from your symptoms are typical anxiety symptoms and we are famous for over analysing etc. I wish you all the best & like i said CBT is definately worth a try x
