Does this look like Genital Warts or Vestibular Papillomatosis? ***GRAPHIC PHOTOS***

My bf cheated on me with a woman in Feb who he says is getting tested for HPV. I noticed these finger like tube things on my vulva or inner labia last week. I checked everyday and they weren't there until Wed. or Thurs. of last week. I'm currently awaiting my results from my full panel STD test I took two Saturday's ago. I'm worried they're warts but from what I've seen they don't look like warts. What could they be? They started in a like a circle but now go down in like a line. I have another app. with my doctor tomorrow to take a look at the lesions. I got my period so please be warned, the photos attached are extremely graphic!

I went to get checked yesterday. The results of the STD tests were all negative. she took swabs and samples. Sometimes women just have a little issue every now and then, but it can be scary if you dont know what youre looking at and you start assuming lol. im still waiting on the tests that had to go to the lab, but my nurse told me that some Antifungal creme like monostat would clear it up, imma try it after my cylcle is over! Thank you all for helping me keep my sanity, im only 19 so i didnt know much of anything going on lol! i still might have vp but i know for sure its not any disease.

Girls... after looking up a lot about this, i found on this very website many discussions similar to ours about this bumps and all.. i suggest you look them up and read them. One thing that is similar is that all of them say is it is vestibular papilomatoses VP and it is harmless. it is considered a benign tumor and there is no treatment. One of the girls said that we only look properly at our vulva when we have symptoms like itchying and discharge, like yeast infection, and then we notice the bumps but they probably have been there before and we end up thinking thises symptoms are related to these bumps.

Its been 3 years now.. I just thought i should come back and give an update.. This thing never went away. I ended up being found with GW on my perineum which was lasered off but these exact bumps on my inner labia have never disappeared. Infact, now they have increased a little 😩

iv seen vestibular papillomatosis but iv never seen it like that before i work in sexual health aswel an i see alot of things my thought is they have the structure of warts if they are some strange version of vp you should ask for them to be removed they cant be left like that either way i hope u get answers soon they do look suspicious the way they look like cauliflower kinda growths with screams out warts

vp is usually around the opening not protruding out like that and is usualy on both sides of the labia minora in symetrical formation

Thanks so much for your advice, i really do think its warts too which i feel devastated about but i do think it is. i definitely don't think its just normal. I'll update when I get an answer

thanks for your reply. these bits have been kind of pushed out for the photo purposes it is on both sides of labia but i am not sure its symetrical the more i think i do think it is warts i think it was wishful thinking it might not me and its so frustrating that the GP doesnt have a clue

please make sure when youre testing for hpv to make sure your doctor includes low risk types. usually when testing for hpv they only test for the bad kinds that can lead to cancer. i thought for sure mine was warts and it turns out it wasnt. everyones vagina is different and i think as long as it isnt spreading to different areas that you shouldnt count out the possibility of it not being warts.

Thank you, I don't believe they test for HPV here but i will double check. my understanding is they diagnose warts by visual and follow up with biopsy if any uncertainty

ye u agree everyones vagina looks different there is no normal if u feel there not right or things look different than it used to then u kinda know that somethings wrong and u know your body better than anyone else does iv certainly not seen them before like that if its vp but hey theres a first time for everything lol so i cant say 100% that they are warts but i feel they do need further investigation as they do appear to look like warts keep ur chin up until u know warts are not the end of the world anyway and they can be treated

ive been through the biopsy process. at first i got a pap smear test for hpv(HPV is what causes genital warts) and that came back negative. my doctor was really on the fence and didnt know what it was. after that was negative i scheduled my biopsy and got a sample taken to be inspected. when those results came back they said the skin was thickened like warts but there was no hpv in the sample. upon looking closer to all my paper work i realized that they were only testing for kinds (both in the papsmear and biopsy) that could lead to cancer and not the low risk types that cause hpv. which to me made absolutely no sense. so i requested a sub typing the test for ALL known types of hpv . when that cane back negative i finally started to feel better about the situation.

hpv 6 and 11 cause most strains of genital warts

they are considered low risk but 11 can also cause abnormal changes within the cervix

Hello does this look like vp to you? i'm scared though. it started when I had yeast infection August this year then it disappeared right after when my yeast infection was gone. I had papsmear 2 weeks after that and my 1st OB told me she didn't see any bumps and my cervix is normal. Sept 2nd week my vagina began to itch again due to untreated yeast infection so I decided to go to another OB. That time the bumps appeared again and I was scared if it could be hpv but the second OB told me it was pretty much normal and not hpv. I asked her to do acetic acid test but she didn't do it because she's sure it's not hpv. now it's been a month but they're still there. image

Hi everyone, last year in October I had sex for the first time with my boyfriend unprotected. Just this year in February I started to feel itchy down there and my discharge was a little white. I went to CVS and brought a yeast infection test to make sure if I had it or not and the test was negative. A month later I went to the doctor for a check up, had a blood test and the only thing that came back was low vitamin D. In the same month of March I started to notice these bumps around my vagina. My boyfriend said he was tested and it came back negative. To let you know, when i was in high school, I had little bumps in a row on both sides of my vagina. Do you think its VP???? Also my doctor office is closed because of Covid!!image

@madelyn70438 thank you!! I talked to a doctor on here and he said i have vp and a mild yeast infection. Today is my 5th day of treatment with Monistat 7 and so far the redness from my vagina is slowly disappearing but its a little bit of burning here and there with the treatment.
