Does this look like Genital Warts or Vestibular Papillomatosis? ***GRAPHIC PHOTOS***

My bf cheated on me with a woman in Feb who he says is getting tested for HPV. I noticed these finger like tube things on my vulva or inner labia last week. I checked everyday and they weren't there until Wed. or Thurs. of last week. I'm currently awaiting my results from my full panel STD test I took two Saturday's ago. I'm worried they're warts but from what I've seen they don't look like warts. What could they be? They started in a like a circle but now go down in like a line. I have another app. with my doctor tomorrow to take a look at the lesions. I got my period so please be warned, the photos attached are extremely graphic!

Heey so I am new here.. Well in september I discovered a patch with some little formations, finger like on my labia minora.. I hurried to a ginecologist.. She told me that they don't look like condilomatosis but the treatment was for them.. Then I have gone to another doctor where I made a pap and I told him about the problem.. But I don't think that he understood where to look because he told my that it is a reaction from shaving.. And after my pap came he said that everything is okay.. But from september until now they spread on the other labia and some of them grown. I think it's vp. So I am depressed and I don't know what to do.. Monday I have another appointment to a third doctor.. For those who know they have vp did you do something to get rid of them? It happened to you too to spread?

They spread on the other labia minora? Sounds like vp to me. But don't worry, vp is not an sti. You could have them removed too if you want.

Thank you. I went to 3 doctors (ginecologist) and I did a pap who came ok, no hpv. They said that it is not condilloma. After I gather some information I realize that they are vp but what I can't figure out is how I get rid of them. I don't want to try to laser them off because I am afraid I will do more harm afterwards. I wonder if there is somebody here who can tell if they managed to get rid of them.

I had the same kind of VP looking like formation appear after I had an infection (not sure which, still waiting for results). I went to get a pap smear and asked my Dr what those are and she said it's just normal for it those appear, but imo these were triggered by the infection because 1. it wasn't there before 2. its kind of itchy.

HELP can someone tell me what this could possibly be .

This looks like VP to me. But by all means go to a gynecologist and get tested just so you can have the full certainty. I know this can be stressful.

    Hi guys,

First of all I want to express how grateful I am to have found this thread. Makes me feel like I'm not alone and it's also been very helpful reading all your comments and replies.

I'm experiencing the same thing. I've attached a picture.

I'm currently waiting for my lab results, it's been almost 3 months of having this concern. I've been to planned parenthood where they didn't think of it as warts but I was experiencing itchiness and white discharge and some inflammation and even burning. I was diagnosed with a yeast infection but the symptoms remained after almost a month. So I went to a doctor, the doctor thought it was herpes, test came back negative though. So then I went to a private gynecologist and she told me it was VP. She mentioned these are normal skin variations that occur as a reaction to irritation and they are not contagious. She mentioned that many women have the same fear but that this is normal. VP only occurs in the labia minora and the vaginal opening whereas warts can spread randomly all over.

I've gotten tested for hpv only recently though because my yeast infection symptoms continued and I feared it could be something else. That, and a pap smear result came back as "Atypical glandular cells present / endocervical cells". According to the gynecologist this result doesn't necessarily indicate hpv and that it's unusual for someone my age. So I had an ECC done that I'm waiting for, and a Colposcopy that turned out to be fine.

Side note: I got access to antibiotics and this helped relieve my yeast infection symptoms by a lot. So maybe I had a bacterial infection? Anyways guys, this has been a real long story for me and I cannot wait to get my results. In the meantime, stumbling upon this thread has been really helpful. You guys have no idea how depressing and nerve wracking this has all been.

    Or maybe you do.

I'll try to keep you updated!

My prayers and best wishes to you all!

oh my gosh! I had the exact same thing come out on my pap smear results, my doctor told me it does not mean I have HPV but my cervical cells came into contact with either a virus or bacteria, most likely an infection like chlamydia, so I went to get a full STI panel to find out what caused this alteration in the exams. My dr. gave me 1g azithromycin just in case, the VP-like thing seems to have improved a little after the meds, but it's still here. I wonder if it will go away with time?

      Oh wow! Thanks for sharing!

Did you ever get tested for hpv after that?

Did your doctor follow up with a Colposcopy or an ECC ?

I tested for chlamydia and gonorrhea but came back negative. So maybe it was a bacteria.

I just got off a course of antibiotics and I'm seeing yellow discharge again. And I have an occasional itch around my vulva. Maybe I should give it time.

And also, my gynecologist did mention that eventually the skin goes back to normal.

In my experience I've noticed them get smaller at times. But they're still there.

What do these look like to you? Aren't they quite big for being Vp?

some look like VP and some look a little large. although I notice some bumps that are very similar to what I had checked out and they said they were normal variations. however it doesn't hurt to have a doctor take a peak and get some reassurance

Thank you for your reply. I will go and see a doctor. So to you they do not look like genital warts, although they seem a little large?
