Don't doubt symptoms are mirtazapine withdrawal

To anyone off or coming off mirtazapine, please don't doubt pains etc are due to withdrawal, 2 days ago I had lower back pain, tummy cramps, internal tremors, headache, numbness/heat in arms, nausea, dry mouth, anxiety, depression etc it was a bad day, then yesterday on a better day I had none of the physical symptoms didn't even wake with anxiety, today bad day again and in agony, if it was a true illness it really really wouldn't come and go, I'm partly writing this for others but also to remind myself as when you're anxious you don't think straight x

I have been been doing some research and have found something that I find is helping from Holland and Barratt called 5 htp which is seratonin which I think most of us are lacking.
Not sure if it is physiological but taking the tablet is helping me feel more relaxed.
Has anyone else tried this ?

Hi yes I've been taking 5htp with dinner. Also I've been taking concentrated cherry juice before bed which is a natural source of melatonin x

Hi Nicola I can't take that as it interacts with other meds x

Does this interact with antidepressants as I started taking this just before I stopped the mirtazepine.

Believe 5htp should not be taken with a/d cos of serotonin syndrome. I have some but it doesn't agree with me even 4 months off remeron. Might give it a other try as supposed to help with sleep. Even my zoplicone is working less. Guess I am becoming too used to it. Scary as how else can i sleep? Fed up of feeling so tired and weird. Seeing doc Friday for a cure. No hopes...........

I've been taking 7.5mg for about 6 years, I fall asleep around 11pm sometimes later and wake at least twice mostly at 2am and 6am I think it may be when our blood sugars drop, as mirtazapine effects them, the anxiety drives me mad as never had it before this x
