Don't laugh - but any advice on what to take to hospital?

This is going to sound super silly, but really what should I take with me to hospital outside the obvious (night gown and slippers, etc) For those of you who have been in the hosptial before for ovarian cystectomy or oophorectomy, what did yall find useful to have with you or what did you wish you had with you? I am expecting to be in 2-3 nights.

Take comfy clothes for post op. A loose maxi dress or s
Bring a cushion to hold on your tummy under your seatbelt for the car ride home.
My throat was really dry and sore post op, milk shake was the best thing for that.

I took my ipod and ipad and my phone. I listened to audio books at night on the 1st night to keep the sound of the beeping out of my head.
I also watched a movie on my ipad. The day of the surgery the staff nurse locked my watch and ipod/ipad up in the little locker at the front of my night table.
I packed the following in my bag:
2 x lounge trousers (super stretchy and light weight,)
2 x tank top camisoles
house slippers
1 long sleeve tshirt
bath robe and night gown that hit my knees
undies, sanitary pads, brush
regular toiletries (shampoo, wipes, face cloth)
I also brought a bottle of water and coca-cola. Why the coke? Well where I'm from in the south,(Virginia) if you're feeling unwell or sick to your tummy, your mom always gave you ice cold full fat fizzy coke. I wouldn't be without it. Maybe its psychological, but the morning after the surgery and my horrible reaction to the anesthesia (part of the unfortunate 33% of folks) the ONLY thing I wanted was coke. it really does help.
I took some coins and £5 for just in case (didn't need it)
I was soooo hot in our ward that I had to ask for a fan. They gladly gave me one. I'm sure my feeling rotten was in part to how dang warm the ward was! I definitely didn't need my robe except for the morning after the surgery when I still had my gown on.
I had a pillow in the car to cushion my tummy on the way home.
Hope this helps, and thanks to every one of you who contributed before I had my surgery. It really helped.
xx

Glad you have had your operation and feel relatively ok
I remember when my daughter had been sick for a couple of days and a nurse at our doctors clinic suggested giving her coke too as she says it replaces the salts you lose when you are sick. It certainly did the trick with her too
