Down in the dumps And can't see a light at the end of the tunnel

im 39 days post op and fed up. I haven't had a bath or shower for 40 days because I simply can't climb into the bloody bath. .

 I have had a wash but it's not the same . Beginning to wonder if this was a good idea.

    This is a new lease on life. THR. Is not a walk in the park by no means. We all have a difficult time some more than others and rarely there are those who have no issues at all. 

    Give thr 8 months then your pain and stress levels will be pretty much over and life will go on.

    go out and celebrate you have mobility have important is that in our ever day lives. 

    I have been thru three each one was different. I am always in some type of mild pain and severe if I over do.

    i learned my limitations, became mindful of the way I  do things and follow the hip restrictions as well as Pt exercises. 

    its never over bit it does get a whole lot better. Life is what we choose to make it even with our limitations.

    Hi jean,i know how u feel,i had quite a few tearful tantrums at not being able 2 shower,did u not get a shower board? I'm 11wks post op,still use board but can shower alone now.. . Its vry frustrating,but hang in there,it will get easier,i found this forum vry helpful,alwys best 2 talk 2 folk who know exactly how u feel! Xx
