Hi, just been prescribed Doxzasosin for my high blood pressure. Brief comment on the note with the meds that this is also used for treating an enlarged prostate ( one of my many ongoing problems) has anyone any comments on this drug, good or bad. Glad to hear anything you can contribute.
I have drug resistant high BP, this is the latest for me to try.
Have intermittent prostatitis since having a prostate biopsy, episodes usually lasting a few days at a time. Up 2-3 times in the night to go to the bathroom. always have a poor and splitting stream. This has never been good from being a kid! Going for pelvic xrays in the morning, started with low back pain and pain in and around my pelvic area with a tender spot on my hip. Age 67. Its rubbish

If you have drug-resistant hypertension, look into the idea of therapeutic water fasting. Worked like a charm for me. I, too, have BPH. Tried doxazosin. Didn't do much for the BPH, though I only took 2 mg doses. It did cause me to become hypotensive. Do you homework.
