Dr Koftmans acid dropping cook book

I am waiting for my copy of this book to be delivered.  I have been looking at the list of foods allowed in the induction diet.  It seems pretty strict but I can't see what you can spread on bread for my lunchtime sandwich.  Can anyone help.  If this way of eating really is the answer to Silent reflux then I find it appalling that gps and consultants don't know about the diet.  All my gp said was to avoid juice citrus fruit and tomatoes.  I would still be eating chocolate and other trigger foods.  Even so my diet is not as good as it might be.  I have to find some recipes which both my husband and I can eat or he will eat.  I don't want to be doing 2 separate meals.  We already have skimmed milk, wholemeal bread no white and plenty of fruit and veg.

Neither of us like fish so that leaves chicken only.  Can anyone suggest a non acid sauce that could be used with say chicken and rice.  Also what about roast dinner and roast potatoes and gravy suppose that is out as well.  Also I have asked this question before what about eating out am due to go out for my birthday end of October what do I order or should I not go.

We will go to an italian my favourite as the grandchildren like it.  I am dreading it as don't want to make the wrong choice.  Any advice?

Just a note to say I am on indapamide which is a water tablet . But it took me ages to find one I coould tolerate  this is the best i personally could find you have to stay hydrated  as you pee a lot.Again at the time decided to look at life style and i do as much  walking as I can as I am retired now and because i also have osteoporosis i go to a specialist gym for people with problems ( NHS aproved) and that has helped me  all round ,apart from just now as I have not felt up to it .But they help me a lot with weight bearing exercises  and stamina to improve my spine and breathing it has been a lifesaver, its not to hard but beneficial so lucky to have this available to me via GP. Hope to restart again next week. . If nothing else makes you feel good and the people are so positive .  Something you need when you are confronted with various health situations. Hope you soon feel better and  . For Gp Wednesday to see about dreaded pills as my course is running out  and l will get in touch after consultants visit on the 17th .

Glad to chat here though if you like, will share some more recipes once I have tried them out . Just been to supermarket and found coconut water which aparrently is ok so trying that out later. I also have a stirfry prawn dish which is not too bad and i seem to tolerate that ok at the moment . Speak again soon  Bye for now.

Hi All the best look to you and yes it is good to have a chat.  Will let you know how my gp appointment goes on Monday.  At long last I have an appointment for orthopaedics early next month.  Must tell you went out this afternoon to buy some boots and in the shopping centre there was a Cadburys shop you can imagine that I had to hurry past.  What a choker.  Have a Good weekend and take care.

      Have a good weekend.
