Drying out herpes blisters quickly

Hi all,
Used to quite an active member but have generally come to terms a little with my illness over the past ten months. As a back story I caught herpes off my new partner. He didn't know he had it and it was a terribly tough time. I've been through a major depressive period, but to those of you struggling, there is light at the end of the tunnel. On suppressive therapy and looking after myself I have been herpes free for about 8 months which has been awesome.
Unfortunately I've just been on holiday and got a little lazy in taking my daily tablets... And here I am. 5 days into an awful outbreak.
Has anyone got any advice on how to heal the broken sores quicker ? I've been bathing and keeping them clean, washing with soap and water and applying some witch hazel (which makes me almost pass out it hurts so much haha but I feel, no pain no gain right?) but this is dragging out now, some of the sores are still not drying and obviously it is irritated and causing me pain. Walking and sitting in my work clothes is not comfortable and I just want this to end ASAP ! I forgot how annoying the outbreaks are!!
Do any of you apply anything directly to your sores ? Bearing in mind I am female and this is already a sensitive area and I don't want to irritate myself further...
Thanks in advance for any suggestions, willing to try absolutely anything at the moment.

its a very late reply, but if you still need it or, maybe somebody else; I put tea tree oil on the sores. it kills the pain and itch instantly . my first outbreak was extremely painful and i was really sick for two weeks and had to recover for another week. couldn't sit or walk. tea tree oil was my only relief. i applied it softly with some toilet paper. now i take lysine every day and as soon as I feel a sore coming up I take a double dose and put tea tree oil on the itchy spot. it is gone within days.

Ive had herpes for about 18 yrs. I rarely get outbreaks. First I had blisters on one of my lady lips. hurt like he'll to pee. I started putting liquid bandaid on the blisters. Im not gonna lie, it hurt like a SOB. I would just walk around my house without panties until it dried. or if I was in a rush I just put a panty liner on to keep the spot covered. A couple years ago I started getting them up in my landing strip area and no longer get them on my lady lip....it definitely burns for maybe 10-20 seconds if the blister has broken open. if it hasnt broken open, it may sting a little.

i was diagnosed with herpes 1 year ago. I had my first outbreak after receiving the flu shot. It wasn't a bad break out. But, I did have ongoing breakout every month about twice a month. I decided to get on antiviral medication because I was in a relationship at the time and wanted the outbreaks to go away. Now, i'm still on Valacyclovir 1gram daily and i still have outbreak every month. I have noticed I tend to have outbreaks as soon as my menstrual cycle ends. Does this happen to anyone else ?! i feel like im taking the medication for no reason. Dont get me wrong! the medication helps the duration ans the pain of the outbreak but im still dealing with the outbreaks every month. is there anything any female recommends ?!
I also have an autoimmune condition which I believe makes my immune system weak, so im trying to eat more fruits. Intake vitamin c, tumeric and multi vitamins

and Human alphaherpesvirus 2, are two members of the human Herpesviridae family, a set of new viruses that produce viral infections in the majority of humans. Both HSV-1 and HSV-2 are common and contagious.

yes intense itching to the point where i treated myself for worms (twice) and then shaved all my hair down below because i thought maybe pubic lice, then treated myself for thrush (and it was obviously herpes coming). im hoping for me that IF and WHEN i get this again i can prepare myself and get to the chemist asap for the super strength 3 day course of medication - anyway to look at this awful virus positivly

try zinc sulfate cream. it's like a white past. apply generously and often at the earliest sign of symptom. for me, that's usually when urinating stings a little, or I get a faint itch. I have found this to really combat and limit the outbreak to 2 days or less of active... then it goes into healing mode. A few days of Vaseline and all is well. Good luck!

To dry out sores, baby powder does work but at the same time, take Monolaurin or Lauricidin internally (which strips the outer protective layer from the virus) so your immune system can see it and attack it, preventing further replication.
I promise you, that works.
Furthermore, to prevent future outbreaks, take Magnesium. There are many types, but you need a high absorption Magnesium. i prefer Magnesium Glycinate. 200mg in morning, 200mg before bed. 6 years and no outbreaks.
