Due to have 22 by 13 cm cyst removed on the 17th june gyn advised i will be cut up and down why ???

Due to have a cyst removed plus full hysterectomy its rather large i look 8 mnth pregnant gyn advised he would cut up and down anyone had this as aposed to bikini line x

    My op next week. I have

    Previous hysterectomy scar

    So asked consultant if he

    Opening that but he

    Said he could not and

    Said because of size and

    Position. Hope

      Mine is 9x7x7 and is a complex cyst. I may have to have more than ovaries taken depending on what

      They find so I think that is

      Another reason they do a vertical cut. I will look like a patchwork quilt . Still

      Whatever it takes

      To get rid of this. I can't believe how

      Much is can upset your body

      And the discomfort it causes .

      Hu june , ir certainly dose affect your body i feel like a fat pig  wobling like im 9mnth gone i asked if he coyld save an ovary but he reccomended to have everythink out no risk of it coming back whens your op ??😟

      Bev well that made me laugh. My op

      On 9th june. My stomach feels

      All tight inside like when it was pregnant

      Except no nice little bundle . Mine

      On left but he said to take both which I would have wanted. If I had known this was going to happen I would have asked them

      To whip them out years ago

      When I had my

      Hysterectomy .

      Wasn't stressed about that then. So

      Not worried about the

      Recovery just what they going to find

      And just praying I don't have

      To have the "plus or minus" side of the

      Consent form. Have you had your pre assessment check at the hospital?

      My pre asswsment is on the 12 th i have been realy light headed this last few days im hoping this is a mixture of  nerves and weird hormones  lol ive named mine bernard !!! Im goin to ask for a picture 😦

      weird the different symptoms, mine started off with dizziness and never really gone, horrible feels like you been drinking. When I asked my consultant if that was connected he said no which panicked me, then I cam on here and found woman did get the dizziness and light headedness. Not name mine although can think of something beginning with a "b" that I'd like to call it!

      I also asked and got the same response but ive been talking to a family friend who is an aneathatist and he advised that it causes dissiness because of the pressure especialy if you lay on your back it puts pressure on the nerves that run to your brain !! Im dreading going through the change im only 44 dont fancy a beard 🙉

      Well that has explained a lot as I get dizzy when I'm

      Just sitting . Can't wait till Monday I'm so uncomfortable with aches

      And pains all over. I'm all packed including me

      Mint tea bags in case I get the trapped wind I had before (was well painful). All

      Left to do is shave

      Me legs and trim me

      Bits (not having look at my bits and they be untidy

      Sure you won't get a beard lol

    I just had this done 11 days ago.......same exact size cyst and full hysterectomy they also cut me up and down because the cyst is so large they want to take it out whole in case it's cancer...in my case it was a fibroid and not cancerous........usually the large ones are not cancerous....so they say....I'm 52 years old.....off all my pain meds......put still sore and still have to take it easy.....hope this is helpful to you....

      Hi im glad your ok i bet you feel so much lighter i did think it would be the size if it .it realy dose interfere with everyday life dosnt it 😕 cant wait for the 17th are you on hrt now then star ????

      I actually feel hollow....lol. The cyst itself weighed 6lbs... I probably lost around 13 lbs total.

      Oh my word you've just given birth, and 13lbs in total that's at least a dress size.

    Hi Bev14365,

    I had a 25cm x22 x 22 cyst removed on Friday. They cut down from my belly button to my existing ceaser scar. Mainly because my cyst was sitting very high. I looked like I was having twins. They initially thought the cut might go up to my sternum, thankfully it wasn't necessary. It's healing well and less painful than the ceaser cut was. Best if luck I hope that helps x
