Ughhhh, 3am on the button again. Had good 4 hours but well practised body clock says brew time. So if anyone awake early Saturday morning greetings and to all those sleeping well, have a lovely and as pain free weekend to you all. Hmmm...choc biscuit as well with my tea.

Had my first night in bed last night for about 4 weeks after my consultant said it was ok to sleep on my side and this morning feel like I've been hit by a train. Is that what I was getting all excited about? Still very nervous about being on my side but I suppose that will pass. It's the hubby's first weekend off in three weeks and I kept him awake half the night. Oops!! ☺️
Have a lovely weekend all!

at first I lay on good side with a pillow between legs , put one behind my back as well , I could lean back a little and it was comfy . 11 weeks in and still use leg pillow as it feels better .
i don't sleep well anyway .
my grand daughter has packed her bag to come for first sleep over since my op , she sleeps with me !!!

I just had one leg lying on top of the other, whichever side I was on. I might try the pillow between the knees although consultant did say it wasn't necessary. If it helps me sleep it's an easy fix.
I have to to say I was very nervous and lay on my back for a good while before getting up the encouragement to try lying on my side. When I did though I kinda sat up first and then turned over, rather than just shuffling onto my side. I felt that there was less chance of twisting doing it that way. I was more comfortable lying on unoperated side than operated as there is still a small amount of tenderness on operated side.
Hope that helps in some small way 😊

two days ago thought I would have a change in tactics. Tire myself out during the day then will sleep at night. Went for extra walks and did not have sleep during the day. Pulled back on meds. What happened? Still woke up at 1pm 3pm 5pm! PLUS. Got tree trunk leg to boot! So back to resting more, upped the meds again and going along slowly. As fellow hippies say to go along with what your body is telling you and rest. The sudden tiredness is a killer.
thanks for your amusing texts.

Now I go to bed about 11pm and just lie there frustrated as cannot just drift off at all, try various pillow configurations eventually after getting up for another toilet stop about 2am that's when I drift off til about 7am. I'm not sore or anything and relatively comfy on my back. Just cannot get to sleep. I have been having a nap in afternoon but didn't yesterday but
made no difference. Any tips anybody? I'm 2 wks post op today from left THR.

Are you trying with a good firm pillow between your knees ?... If not try it and just sleep on your good side. If you have then rum in your night cap cocoa ....works wonderfully for me Good luck.
