Eeek! Got my date

I'm going for my pre-op assessment tomorrow at 9.30am ready for my THR on 3rd March.  I had a phone call about 10 minutes ago, still haven't had my letter so it was a bit of a shock even though they said it would be in March.

I'm still shaking but pleased, scared and every other emotion you can think of.

Hi Cels, Thanks for the welcome on the other thread.

I'm going in to hospital on the third to have the op on the fourth. I must

have an early appointment as they want me in the night before.

I don't know how you feel about such things but I read that 'pre op

hypnosis' can help with bringing down stress levels.

I've bought a download off a site to give it a try, like you probably, I'm not afraid just apprehensive (that's my story and I'm sticking to it) smile

      Hi Bridie,

I do have a sleep app that I have found beneficial, and an app with rain noises, waves and relaxing sounds.  I'm also a great lover of classical music, most of which I find very soothing.

I don't think I'm afraid either and this forum has helped with that.  However it's one thing to read about it and another to go through it, but if not for the lovely people on here I would feel more scared and less prepared.

So, I'll think of you on 3rd, until I'm sedated that is, when I'll probably be thinking of unicorns and rainbows, or more likely nothing at all.

I'm sure we'll 'talk' again before the big day.
