58 and Post menopausal sbout 5 years. Also have small uterine fibriods which hadnt caused to much trouble pre or post menopause. I recently had some light cramping on and off for a month but no vaginal bleeding or discharge and went to obgyn for pelvic exam. Also have vaginal atrophy (drying and tightening of vaginal opening) Pelvic exam appeared normal but the transvaginal ultrasound showed fluid in uterus along with my fibroids. Doc recommends uterine biopsy. My question is if there is no bleeding does that rule our cancer as the cause of the fluid and cramping? Everything i read states first symptom of endometrial cancer is vaginal bleeding. Thought?

    Thanks!

Has anyone expierenced extreme bloating or gas?  Also hair loss?  This week I've been blowing up like a balloon, painfully as well.  Nothing works for it.  This past month I've been pulling out enough hair to make a golf ball size hair ball.

    Hello ladies,

I am 36 and have had 5 c-sections and had my tubes tied burned and cut. After I did that my cramping went away during my menstrual cycle but then I started getting bad pain and cramps during ovulation. Had regular periods (lasted 3 days and on the same day each month) now for 26 years. About 1 year ago my cycles started lasting longer and longer, now they last about 2-3 weeks and heavy. I get random cramping even when I am not on my cycle and random spotting. If I twist wrong sometimes it cramps in my lower abdomen. Today I was at a business sitting and waiting to talk to a lady, and all of sudden I got cramps so bad I couldn't even stand. Following that about 15 minutes later I was waiting in line at KFC and it felt like I was pregnant and my water broke. I went to bathroom and my pants were soaked with bloody/watery stuff. Went to the on call doctor and she said she was not sure and couldn't help me. But I am still cramping and have spotting still. What do you ladies think this might be.?

    Thank you

Don't waste time with a primary doctor, you need to see a gynecologist ASAP.  I've noticed other doctors either pretend like they know what they're talking about, or they tell you that your body is probably just reacting to stress or this is part of aging...I'm 31.  I've had symptoms for a year and they're slowing becoming worse. If you have health insurance that allows you to see a specialist without needing a referral...Go to the gynecologist, demand sonograms, and ultrasounds...Then look for a gynecologist/oncologist.  What you are going through is not normal.

can you still get this when you have had an full hestrorectomy

If you mean can you get uterine cancer after a total hysterectomy then no you can't as the uterus is removed, if you mean can you get similar symptoms to uterine cancer then I suppose in theory you could, I experience some bleeding 2 years after my hysterectomy which lead to a panic moment but it turned out to be a UTI, if you are experiencing heavy bleeding after a hysterctomy then please seek help ASAP.

Hi, i am 59  started menapause at 46... started bleeding 2 years ago, after a scan had surgery , removed polyps and  had D & C... last month i had bleeding ( not heavey ) for about 3 days...and i have had bleeding again today.......could this be polyps again and can they be cancerous?

Hi Liz, please get checked again asap,

I began with polyps seems like 100 years ago now, I think I was around 39/40 at the time, I was always lead to believe that that are not normally cancerous, I went through menopause  at age 47 and sailed through without any symptoms at all then when I was 56 I began to bleed, like you it was light so I foolishly ignored it, then when I was 61 all heck broke loose, I bled so much I lost almost half my blood volume and was then diagnosed stage 1A uterine cancer, I am not saying that you will have the same just please don't leave it as long as I did, I was living on my own and working full time, kept putting things off as I 'didn't have time', please make an appt today with your doctor so that you can put your mind at rest.

      Phoebe.

I had a hysterectomy at the age of 30 but my ovaries were left in so I wasn't thrown into early meno pause. Hysterectomy was done because of severe endometriosis . This past December 2016 after having a bloated stomach almost like a 7 month pregnancy , uti issue and horrible pain in my right side and lower back landed me in the ER. Blood tests, Ct scan was done and my ca 125 marker was 3200 (normal being 35) and I was diagnosed with what they said probably would be stage 3. I also had a huge tumor ranging from one ovary to another . I had a debunking surgery where tumor was removed but also lots of endometriosis was removed from other organs. The asites was not as much as they thought from scan and my biopsies came back negative for other organs do my stage was dropped to a stage 2. I am presently getting ready to go for my 5th out of 6th chemo of Taxol and carboplatin. I have lost all my hair, eyebrows and lashes! Haven't been too sick though . Have bad case of what they call chemo brain though! Now I am having severe pain in right side and bloating again but blood work says it's not from cancer. Think my digestive system has been affected from chemo. Now I have to see a gastrenoligist . Pain is constant but ovaries and Fallopian tubes have been removed so don't know what's going on . Any one else have similar experience?

I am 42 years old. I was diagnosed with PCOS as a teenager, and never had regular periods. I had been off and on birth control and nuvaring to try to regulate my cycles. Once I had children (my youngest is 7), my cycles seemed to straighten out and were coming monthly on their own. This past fall, I began experiencing extremely heavy periods with solid clots the size of an orange. I just put it off as part of my PCOS. This continued each month, along with my period now coming every 2-3 weeks and lasting 12 or more days. I have pretty much been forced to stay home during this time as I soak through tampons and pads within 15 minutes. I also have had abdominal bloating so badly that my clothes don't fit. I have watery discharge as well as horrible back and abdominal pain.

After finally getting to my GYN in April (I had to cancel 2 appts because of these horrible clots), she ordered a pelvic US, tv us, and endometrial biopsy. The tech didn't say anything during the pelvic us, but questioned me during the tv us if I emptied my bladder, leading me to believe she saw fluid. My doctor didn't mention this, just said nothing was found when she reviewed it a few minutes later. Endometrial biopsy showed a uterine infection as well as evidence of a lesion, which did not show up on either us. I am scheduled for a hysteroscopy d&c to locate the lesion. She's not sure what caused the infection, as I don't have an std and have not recently given birth, but am taking antibiotics for it.

I am more than a little nervous this lesion is malignant and is the reason for the infection. Last year I was running 5 miles every day...today I have to lay down after doing housework because I'm so exhausted. I can't walk 1/2 mile without having trouble breathing and dying of pain let alone run.

She mentioned possibly inserting a Mirena during the surgery. I don't know what to think about this. If cancer is found, a hysterectomy would be the treatment. Should I wait for the results first before going this route?

Hi all thank you for all you information.

I was diagnosed in April 2013 with Stage 1 Endometrial Cancer through a standard PAP Smear. I had not noticed any symptoms. Maybe cause I wore black cottontails and didn't notice ant blood.

As I have multiple co- morbidities I was unable to access a hysterectomy. ( life long lung and chest problems. )

i was fitted with a Mirena Hormonal implant.

My oncologist wanted me to have Radiation Therapy which I refused as I was very low at the time. Depression and breathing difficulties and didn't feel I could commit to the long drawn out process. As the cancer was slow growing I thought I would die of another illness.

Its now been 4 years and because of improvement in my breathing because of an old drug, Spiriva, delivered in a new way I am now ready to have the radiation. Also my symptoms are now bothering me.

I am happy with my choices and will take what comes my way.

    thank you all.

    Keep well

      Hi Jody,

I'm curious if you continued with the mirena treatment and if you had any cramping or if it worked as a temporary treatment option?

I'm 3 months into my first mirena treatment.

Thanks and hope you are doing well!

Hi, just after some advice. I have a fairly long history, but in brief, I was diagnosed with PCOS at 15 and endometriosis at about 17. I had 5 laproscopy and then had a benign tumor on my ovary when I was 24. Since then Ive had another 'clean out' surgery, a caesarean, a normal birth, a still birth and then a pregnancy with growth complications. Its now been 6 months since my baby was born, I've had 3 normal (for me) periods, but now I've started bleeding a week after my last, I've had pain, fatigue and some watery/pink discharge. This is out of norm for me, but still normal for someone with my history. Should I be worried?
